@davidmcw - left the parish of DL for a few days around New Year's in Dubai. First time caller. The scale of ambition and execution is off the charts. We are in so much trouble with the absence of plans, political energy or ability to deliver. Not a 1st mover or fast follower.
@dlrcycling@LorraineHallFG@dlrcc When my kids started at METNS all the "cool" parents had EVs. Now it is cargo bikes. Dramatic drop off in parents driving due to roadworks too!
Lovely to get down to @RSGYC for the turning on of the Christmas Lights (with the fab club choir bringing some cheer). DL town also looking great - @dunlaoghairecra@DunLaoghaireTT
@DaraghCassidy It was 50 years ago...the country and the world a different place. If the owners progressed the planning they have to glaze the outside it would help. Still, at least we have our glorious Lexicon library.
Having slept on things - a fan disturbing McIlroy's putt by yelling 'fuck you Rory', only for Shane Lowry to hole a 50-footer for eagle, point at said fan and roar 'Fuck you!' is an all-time Irish sporting moment
My piece, having followed Rory and Shane's hours-long public trial. I've never witnessed a better exhibition of quality and character in Irish sport. (free to read)

@Aldi_Ireland - disappointing that you wont take recycling tokens from other Also stores. You take my money, take my recycling but not my token - sorry but I am not driving to Kerry for €3!
@Aldi_Ireland Sorry for our poor and not very environmentally friendly policy? I only went as I found the slip. Off to other supermarkets I return (till staff were a credit to you though).
@dlrcycling On it with the kids last night. Not seeing an issue with reminder to be alert at an entrance. Educating them to assume every other cyclist, pedestrian and driver is stupid. 😂
Average incomes in Ireland have doubled over the past 30 years - and that's allowing for inflation and taxes. 🇮🇪🎉 This huge rise in disposable income means that we have twice as much money in our pockets at the end of the month to cover our living costs.

Brew’n@Frewyn is to open on Convent Lane by mid-September, bringing covered outdoor seating, coffee, pastries & sandwiches to the pedestrianised street. Together with Phoenix Bistro, it’s creating a lively, continental-style street scene.@dunlaoghaireb_a@dunlaoghairecra
One week to go to GLORY DAYS only Dublin gig so far this year, at Walters Dun Laoghaire next Saturday.
If you are going, don't forget we start at 7pm.
For tickets, see the comments.

Just back from a few hours in Dublin City. Grateful for the work of @dlrcc in Dun Laoghaire. Dublin City Centre under @DubCityCouncil is arguably an absolute kip (and this was Grafton Street and environs).
The Carnegie Library is now being used by @myIADT and looks beautiful inside
They are programming a lecture series starting in Sept that will be open to the public and will use it as a research hub.
Its great to see more students in the town, the more links we have with IADT the better!
