Forest Lawn's road safety project was supposed to go in the ground next week but @MayorOfLA intervened.
Isn't it a conflict of interest for cemeteries to oppose a road safety project? Why is Bass listening to them instead of @LADOTofficial?

BREAKING: A federal judge just ruled Trump CANNOT rename the Kennedy Center and ordered the administration to remove the signage and update the website within 14 days.
The judge’s reasoning was simple:
Congress named the Kennedy Center.
Only Congress can rename it.
Not the president. Not executive order. Not branding politics.
And the ruling also blocks Trump from shutting down the center for two years under the guise of “repairs.”
@viggyswam Agreed! Here’s a great example in #Seattle, where both NW & SW corners have one ramp. The common SB curb lane is a shared streetcar lane, a known danger where tracks grab wheels.
And downhill approaches an unexpected curb in the path.
@seattledot
this was so sweet. Stephen Colbert just ended his final episode of The Late Show while singing "Hello, Goodbye" with Paul McCartney. his family and the show's crew then joined them on stage before Paul turned off the lights to the Ed Sullivan Theater
Haha! I watched this last night when it popped up as a recommendation for me! And then I watched it and I was like, “DAMN! I really did a damn good job on that one!”
Thanks for posting!

This’s Cuba and there’s no electricity
The U.S is starving millions of people in Cuba. The U.S. is laying siege cruelly cut off all fuel, power is out, leaving hospitals without electricity. Dialysis patients, babies in NICU, and others will die. This’s a crime against humanity.
I hit the streets of Seattle looking for someone with $50 million in a trust fund.
Why? Because many of the people who do have that much are using complicated trusts to dodge estate taxes.
My Fair Trusts for Fiscal Responsibility Act closes the loophole. Let's pass it.
Ronald Reagan, 1986:
“The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’”
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, today:
“It’s a good quote. But I disagree.”
“I think nine more terrifying words are actually: ‘I worked all day and can’t feed my family.’”
Today, Mamdani opened the second city-run grocery store in New York City.
Instead of trying to earn more votes, Republican officials across the South are executing a systematic effort to dismantle Black political representation in Congress through gerrymandering.
It's time for broad reforms to end this kind of gerrymandering for good.
Today marks Nakba Day, an annual day of remembrance to commemorate the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1949 during the creation of the State of Israel and the year that followed.
Inea is a New Yorker and a Nakba survivor. She shared her story with us — one of home, tradition and memory over generations.
This is amazing - @kevinolearytv 🤡 is fearmongering about Chinese agents opposing his giant Utah data center… but it’s 2 young local girls in Utah who hilariously call him out👇🏽

Help make Seattle streets more accessible: take our ADA survey.
SDOT is updating our Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. We need your help identifying where & how we can make Seattle's right-of-way more accessible.
