Proud to be part of the amazing team behind this!
Do you know someone who was on holiday in Sanday at the end of May, who has now gone home to Ealing in west London? They might - without realising it - have taken a bird tracker with them, which fell off an oystercatcher. And it's been tracking their every move. (1/2)
It has been really fantastic to work with @OneHealthEllen on Crimean Congo Haemorrhagic Fever in Tanzania. A great study in difficult times. Hoping all goes well with the next 'bump'! Many thx to examiners @rbiek and Prof Roger Hewson and convenor @pcdjohnson.
It's been a long journey with a fair few bumps along the way (no pun intended) but this week I passed my PhD viva with minor corrections! Immensely grateful to my amazing supervisors @CleavelandSarah@Animal_Viruses@KJAllan2 & everyone who has made the last 4 years so special

I really hope all the people pressuring the government to airlift cats and dogs out of Afghanistan bring the same energy to advocating for the people left behind.
I shared this with an old friend the other day and they liked it so much it gave me the courage to put it up here. Effect by my magic hero @ChrisKenner - I hope I do it some justice! #magic
Many congratulations to @GemmaChaters on successful PhD viva! So well deserved, brilliant work analysing livestock movements in Tanzania. Great supervisory team @paulcdjo@RowlandKao@l_matthews1972 @IBAHCM
@smaran I have found the last 6 month in particular incredibly difficult - unfortunately coinciding with when I stopped doing covid work and had to write up my actual PhD - it's good to know I'm not the only one who is feeling this way!
@dgurdasani1@SkyNews Yes the Sky interviewer is hostile, and has been clearly taken in by false and unscientific narratives, but this leads to an opportunity for Dr Gurdasani to effectively refute all of these points as she did.
Excellent interview. Share widely!

Just wrapped on a shoot in Rome and while I could post pics of landmarks etc - I found a cat sanctuary near to where Julius Caesar was killed. AWESOME. Go at tea time and they’ll all be there! #torreargentinacatsanctuary#CatsOfTwitter#cats
