When I was still able to work, I spent my entire career in disability services. Speaking on & advocating for disability issues was a passion. Thank you for representing!

@iansomerhalder @NikkiReed_I_Am Here's my amazing husband. We are celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary next month. I am truly blessed as Rob has had to assume the role of my full time caregiver. A huge % of marriages end with the challenge of a medically fragile spouse. Forever my soulmate.

I don't know why, but I trust implicitly @jarpad when God puts on my ♥️ to pray for someone. Tonight that someone is you. As I struggle w/severe tx resistant depression, GAD, PTSD, ADD I am reminded to pray for you battling some of these same demons. I wish you peace & strength.

@RachelMiner1 1/And then there are the "cures"..."I had a {insert relationship here} who had {insert disability, illness, etc. here} and they were cured by {exercise, diet, positive thinking, XYZ medication, etc.}". It hurts that others think I am something broken that needs to be fixed.

I would add @iansomerhalder that raising your child to respect & love the earth, all creatures & people will have a ripple effect as she goes out in the world. The people most accepting of my power w/c & medical equip are kids. They are curious, ask ? & then accept. Thank you.

I can't overemphasize @iansomerhalder the gift you have given your daughter by being an active, loving, involved father. Including respect & love for her mother. I worked with broken families & abused kids for yrs & having a dad like you (bio or not) makes all the difference.

Prev tweet re: disabilities @iansomerhalder I recall a story told to me by a person using a w/c. She had a photo op w/you & was happy to share that you focused on her, not the w/c, & helped her to stand for the pic. I am guessing to you this was 2nd nature, but it isn't the norm.

I dream of a world @iansomerhalder in which the category "people w/disabilities" doesn't exist. The world is designed for people of all abilities w/out needing laws to ensure accessibility, people help each other & differences are accepted not feared. Do you dream of this also?
