Interestingly, the women in many of these stories are not 'damsel in distress' or 'bimbo' types. Many are accomplished masters in their domains.

No disrespect to enjoyers of #Romance/#ChicLit or #Manga / #Manhwa.

I have been reading some #Wuxia Manhwa and #Isekai Manga lately. It is truly the 'Romance/Chick-lit genre' for men. The 'spice' level in these books depends on how 'harem-like' the coterie of women around the 'MC' behave. (1/2)

There is a video somewhere, of the time when Sanderson found out that 'hard magic systems' with RPG-like rules is actually not the preferred way for most authors to write. The surprise on the man's face never goes away no matter how many times he recounts that story.

The basis for a story has popped into my head but this is going to be a wild one to tame.

If embedded AI chips with access to people's minds and genetic data can see what they see and hear what they hear, then everything a human sees, experiences & thinks can be recorded. (1/5)

Naturally, those creating such systems are likely to be in control of such choices and wouldn't want these checks and balances to be possible.

I open my camera roll and I have photographs of dull documents in weird angles, like the technical specs of a new server or the details of insurance plans alongside random pics of my family.
