@attorneydad Honestly, you would be surprised … there are a TON of backpacking forum posts about dehydrating homemade pasta. Definitely not carrying the the anvil you have for making pasta, but we’ll dehydrate spaghetti and spaghetti sauce any day.

@idlebell Follow @spacewxwatch , and download an aurora app that will notify you if Kp levels rise in your area. You can also check https://t.co/IqQx9opFyr . We need a Kp level above 7 or 8 and very dark skies to see aurora in Texas. We drove an hour outside of town to see these.

@idlebell Not at all — it’s extremely rare in the Panhandle! Hopefully we’ll have a few more chances to spot aurora in TX, though, as we approach solar maximum.

@attorneydad You’re more of a hiker than most people. And you’ve been to at least two … maybe 3? … Palo Duro slot canyons. You’ve seen the Native American glyphs, prehistoric mortars, and stood over the battlefield and looked down Old Home Draw. Most people haven’t done any of that stuff.
