@aprilcashford@stantradingman@58bugeye Not really. Not much research goes into chronic autoimmune diseases that affect mostly women...fibromyalgia, lupus, POTS, etc.
Of course, many of these illnesses are triggered and worsened by bouts with infectious diseases, like Covid. We need to study them all.
@adrtysav@CalltoActivism Not "only now". Hearings were scheduled to begin today. Gaetz resigned, effective immediately, right before the hearings began, thus they will no longer be held because he is not a sitting member of congress.
@keags09@michaelianblack I find this troubling. Healthier foods, free from the additives banned in Europe & cleaner practices are important to me also.
But Trump has promised to roll back FDA regulations & downsize the USDA, removing federal safeguards on meats, etc. How will this make us healthier?
@HamDog2011@DisrespectedThe@GP1800SVHO Dems: $122.5B ARP grants for homeless children
$5B ARP emergency housing for homeless vets
$3.5B HUD grants for the homeless
$21.5B ERA2 grants for struggling families facing eviction
Expanded health care/disability access for more than 1M vets w/ burn pit- related injury
@HamDog2011@DisrespectedThe@GP1800SVHO If Reps wanted to help our homeless and veterans instead of immigrants, they would do it. Yet they vote down every Dem bill to assist them.
When asked why, they'll say there was something in the bill they didn't like. But they never introduce a bill of their own. Why is that?
@Forward_Light @suedei23 @DogginTrump@marceelias Understood. And i hope if the new regime ends social security, they return all our money with interest rather than gamble with it. But I don't trust them.
@suedei23 @DogginTrump@marceelias I'm on your side, but that's not possible. If you're self-employed & paid both halves of the contribution, you can't have paid $25k each year for the last 40 years. In '84, we only paid based on the 1st $38k (so $4.7k) of our earnings. Even now, we're only taxed up to $169k.
@suedei23 @DogginTrump@marceelias You wouldn't get that much in return. Social security recipients often end up receiving far more in benefits than they contributed. If you earned $100k for 40 years straight, you've contributed ~$250k. Divvied up, you'd have $30k to live on for ~8 years before it runs out.
@AlwaysThinkHow@DogginTrump@SmilingSpirit That's the whole point of this thread. They're telling you they don't have to ask for permission anymore. Your body, MY choice.
@AlwaysThinkHow@DogginTrump@SmilingSpirit It's a threat by a man in a man's body threatening a girl or a woman. This is not a boys-will-be-boys situation. It's dangerous and should be taken seriously.
