The Olympics are the epitome of “the good sports story” prompting tears, cheers, jaw dropping, heart racing moments…
As the epic summer games conclude, I thank you for reading my reflections of the 2012 London Olympics,
here is one more video.

I loved discovering little moments away from the hustle and bustle of the Olympic areas in London.
When I stopped, looked and listened, I experienced a little story that also transcends an event or location; it inspires, I hope, even 12 years later.

I’m not in Paris, but most likely the athletes will have a place they can rendezvous (perfect word for Paris!) with family and friends who are in the city.
That’s what they had in London in 2012, take a look at this Olympian TLC example.

One of the exciting aspects of being at the Olympics, is that if you’re anywhere in the host city, you run into athletes and people from all over the world!
Looking back makes me happy to know I took the opportunity to go on that trip.
Smile!

Toward the end of the two weeks in London (2012), I made my way to the Olympic family house and had the opportunity to talk with Ashton Eaton, who had just won an Olympic gold medal.

At that Olympic sendoff at San Diego’s Petco Park in 2012, I met several Paralympians.
No matter what sport, there’s much to learn from these outstanding people. Their messages are timeless.

So glad to see two veterans of the game – and multi gold medalists - are back in the Olympics on the basketball’s Team USA.
Both Kevin Durant and LeBron James were in London during my visit in 2012.

A highlight of my 2012 London Olympics experience was traveling to see the Team USA with its NBA Dream Team and meeting, among others, Kobe Bryant.
My post tomorrow will include more Kobe and more NBA players.

Thanks to my connection with the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center back in 2012, I was given media access to Team USA’s Taekwondo work outs and a favorite behind the scenes experience.
I met then head coach Juan Moreno.

Some of my most watched videos from 2012 featured Taekwondo Athletes.
That year, Terrence Jennings and Paige McPherson were Olympic bronze medalists.

Pin collecting… it’s a thing! I’m sure it’s happening in Paris.
Here’s what I learned about this tradition during my time at the 2012 London Olympics.

Every day at the 2012 Olympics, I enjoyed a different and unexpected experience.
I loved this story, sharing how I met people from different countries cheering on athletes from different countries:
Olympians bring the world together.

If you’re in Paris for the Olympics, or living vicariously through social media and TV coverage, there’s nothing like how a city transforms when the world’s eyes are upon it.
I hope you’ll get something from reading about it from this archived post.

One of my 2012 athlete interviews at the Petco Park send off for the London Olympics is in the 2024 Paris Olympics!

The Olympic games start tomorrow!
Even though I won’t be there, this time every 4 years,
I reflect on my 2012 Olympic experience in London.
I will share memories with you, while more are being made by athletes & families from around the world.

20 years ago... Padres Opening Day (April 8, 2004), the start of a beautiful ballpark chapter in Padres history. As part of the Channel 4 San Diego team -- -- I had the honor and joy of being part of the storytelling with "Just Imagine..." https://t.co/0bKuGqE5yG
