During the summer holidays, adolescents are often exposed to experiences that can significantly influence their worldview, especially in conflict-affected areas where we operate. We organised a program in the NWR -CMR to instill skills & values that will shape their behaviours.
On August 7th 2025, One Peace's Founder/Executive Director, Dr. @NyadiFrancios successfully defended his Ph.D thesis in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the award of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Degree in Conflict Resolution at the University of Buea, Cameroon.
Peace starts with understanding, not judgement. Instead of pointing fingers, needs can be expressed without accusations.

🗣️We can prevent conflicts in our communities by learning how to separate observations from judgment ☮️ Before you communicate, ask yourself if your statement is based on what actually happened or on your personal opinion.

According to the World Bank, “Young people in Cameroon are twice as likely as non-youth.” Estimated at over 60%, youth are the future of peace and prosperity. That’s why our projects are designed to be fun, engaging, and inclusive, considering the heterogeneity of youth.
As young people, it is important to always explore nonviolent approaches to resolve conflicts. Nonviolence addresses the issues while respecting and preserving the dignity of everyone involved.

Creating youth-friendly community dialogue platforms has been one of our approaches to #peacebuilding. It allows young people from diverse cultural and religious background to find peaceful ways to resolve disputes and improve their relationship with one another.
