We recently teamed up with mural artists, @OneRedShoe to create an impressive art installation at our theatre!
The project is divided between 11 levels of a backstage stairwell ❤️ Investment came from a portion of our Culture Recovery Fund.
Which is your favourite part?! 🖌️🎨
We've completed our LARGEST mural ever, at @LiverpoolEmpire
273 sq metres
From a depth of 7 metres underground
A total height of 18 metres
The total surface area of this mural is *more* than three, full-sized badminton courts 😅

Somewhere, very near you, is a tiny being, just going about their day.
They don’t care about you, or me, nor any of our worries.
And I find so much comfort in that 💚🐌
@LBFlyawayhome Thank you. I was kind of proud of capturing this wistful look from Cinderella as she was arranging her sister's hair. I'd always paused on that image in the book
@LBFlyawayhome Thank you :))) it was such an enjoyable commission - every brush stroke we studied and copied was like a link to childhood. We had access to some BEAUTIFUL original art via Penguin Books 😍
We enjoyed our time working on this children's library. A really lovely bunch of friendly, helpful kids and staff- such a nice school, plus we got to paint *two* giants :)
More progress on the @LiverpoolEmpire mural :)
Ivor Novello appeared on stage at The Empire in 1932, many of his plays were perfomed there. Nat King Cole first performed there in 1950.
We got lots of nice feedback, still a long way to go...
Want to be in on a secret...? 🤫
Thanks to the Cultural Recovery Fund, we're getting a mural painted backstage, to inspire performers, students and staff that visit the venue! 🎨
From past shows, to legendary performers it will be packed with our history! 🤩 Watch this space!
