Every challenge is an opportunity. It's not easy to take a large notch out of the footprint of a home on a compact lot, but we found it gave the rare opportunity to create an inset wood deck off of the living and dining rooms and saved some trees! #SilhouetteHouseYYJ
A detail vignette of the approach at Silhouette House. Thanks to vsual.sauce for these renderings that capture the cool and minimalist exterior contrasted against the bright and welcoming interior. We can't wait to see this house take shape! #SilhouetteHouseYYJ
Silhouette House in full southern sun. The upper storey gabled overhang is off-set from the boxy first floor volume. On the right, a small overhang over the deck. On the left, the parapets create a private roof garden off of the primary bedroom suite. #SilhouetteHouseYYJ
Silhouette House as seen at dusk in this new rendering from @vsual.sauce. The north facing frontage means the house will be backlit most of the day, hence the name Silhouette House. Dark corrugated siding and eave-less design enhance the geometric silhouette. #SilhouetteHouseYYJ
