🚨BREAKING: The Government announces all UK phones will require ID and surveillance software
This means that Britons will be left with CHILD-LOCKED devices unless they comply with digital ID checks
Protecting children is a noble goal, but the government mandating that all phones come with surveillance software is a crossing of the Rubicon that would make the UK one of the most authoritarian internet regimes in the world
@sarahfinn8 The guy is class both on the pitch and off, make sure you look after him.
I've never seen him give less than 100% and he has a reputation for being a proper grafter.
Gutted he's gone but financially inevitable.
I for one am shocked that, since retiring from Sky News and being able to tweet freely, Kay Burley has revealed herself to be an off-the-shelf progressive who parrots fashionable leftwing opinions.
Every single person who still cringes at the memory of trying to bullshit their way through an interview or exam question: today, the slate is wiped clean. Set down your burden of shame. Nothing - nothing, I say - could touch this.
Oh dear....apparently the vaccine was "proven to be safe" (it didn't even say that in the original Pfizer trial which i presume @AndyBurnhamGM hadn't read then and probably hasn't now).
I have time for people who admit when they change their minds on important topics.
Maybe Andy will now take the opportunity to say that he was wrong and cringes at his authoritarian messaging.
The beauty of the "pandemic" is being able to look back and see who politicians really were - or still are ??
What were / are their values?
This is England …
A ONE year old BABY girl has been recorded as a crime suspect by police, after she inflicted 'minor injury' on another child.
Along with:
6 x two year olds
11 x three year olds
20 x four year olds.
Kent police say “Our focus is very much on understanding what has caused a child to become involved in crime so that this can be addressed”
Send help… or an asteroid 🤡
Let’s have a think about what’s happening in Makerfield.
This by election is costing taxpayers £226,208. And it’s happening because a Labour MP chose to step aside to make room for Andy Burnham’s leadership ambitions. He admitted that himself.
But here’s some more interesting figures.
If Burnham wins, he’ll have to resign as Greater Manchester Mayor too. That triggers another election costing taxpayers around £4.7 million.
So in total, nearly £5 million of public money could be spent not on improving services, fixing roads, supporting communities or helping struggling families, but on political career ambitions.
People are struggling with bills, crime, NHS waiting lists and communities being ignored. Yet Westminster politics still seems focused on who climbs the ladder next.
That’s what frustrates people. Not democracy. Political games made to look like democracy.
Knowing that the assisted dying bill failed is, for me, one of the most important outcomes yesterday.
This was pushed by Labour MP Kim Leadbeater, and I believe it raised deeply serious concerns for our elderly, our vulnerable and those struggling with mental health.
When you look at the history of the Fabian movement and its links to Labour thinking, there are long standing concerns around social engineering, state control and the value placed on people who are no longer seen as economically useful.
That is why this bill worried me so much. Assisted dying risks becoming assisted eugenics if the wrong people are given the power to decide whose life is worth continuing.
Pensioners, the mentally unwell and vulnerable are not a burden.
They need care, support and protection, not a state backed route to death.
Kim Leadbeater’s evil bill was dangerous, and I am glad it failed. The Labour Party should be ashamed.
