We simply disagree on which works are necessary. Even other protestants often believe baptism is essential for salvation. Are they cults?

My interpretation comes from a prophet who at least claims to be inspired by God. Your interpretation comes from either yourself or some other man who didn't even claim to have authority from God.

It is meant to teach that we have no capacity to save ourselves, which has been taught repeatedly in the church.

However, to your point, the priesthood does emanate from Christ and anyone who holds it serves under His authority.

@Faustzme Interesting. So your working theory is that Joseph translated or produced the Book of Mormon under the influence of Satan? Latter-Day Saints are saved by grace and cannot effectuate their own salvation without the redeeming power of Christ.
