@SkylarSkye3 Go get a Braum's burger and fries and get the Braum's sauce. Not exactly the same, but been around a lot longer. I recommend getting the #4 combo, it's the 4 cheese burger and I always add a second patty.
@japan_nobunaga We're all just used to it. Meters make more sense, we just don't know exactly what a meter is (though many here couldn't tell you exactly what a foot is either). Same with temps. Metric makes the most sense. I'm not even sure where our "standard" comes from.
@Zieggenfus@bankertobuilder Absolutely right. Whoever is designing and building these things in the North Texas area have no idea what they're doing. They're all way too small and lead to multiple issues. I much prefer a proper traffic circle.
@GregorioSh64773 You're right, at least partially. That song does harken back to simpler times, for most Americans. The other reason it's big now is because it's an absolute banger of a tune. It's written from the heart, the music itself is catchy, it's also a perfect sing along song.
@KRL_defi_ I'm all for players getting all they can. Only the stars get a second big contract. The average player doesn't even get a second big contract. So I'm on their side for getting more, but if he didn't learn about finances, and his agent didn't teach him, that's on him.
@KRL_defi_ Yeah, taxes and expenses come out of those contracts. They also come out of the paychecks that average folks get, so 75K a year isn't what hits the bank. Also, to gats just his signing bonus, after that, he SHOULDN'T have more expenses, but will get 25M from his contract.
@CliffVines I remember thinking marshmallows were awesome when I was a kid, an actual treat to get to have some. Now they taste like chemicals and are gross.
@sarahhepola Fix? I can patch or plug a hole in a tire. I can change a tire. I can also call AAA, which I do pay for because I have a family. So, if they can come fix it in about an hour, I'll let them do it, or if I'm on the way home from work and exhausted, or if it's over 100°.
@DrStrangetwit Our healthcare system is the one people around the world flock to when their countries can't/won't fix their issues. It costs, mostly because big insurance and pharma lobby the government to force it on us. Education, well, don't want anyone figuring that first thing out.
@ApexSeeker_ What's the difference? Either way results in too few people having too much power and anyone who isn't a part of their club, or at least beneficial to it, is not worth protecting, caring for, allowing to use up resources they want.
@realMaalouf "There are 5 criteria required for forgiveness: 1-admit it's wrong, 2-stop, 3-dont do it again, 4-ask for forgiveness." That's 4, not 5, which shows he doesn't really care about forgiveness, he wants to get to the important part; that it's her fault. Also, 2 and 3 are the same.
@sonofabeachy I work at a school, there are still kids with subs. Not as many as the early 90's when I graduated, but still some. Admittedly, the factory stereos in many vehicles these days sound great, so there's not much need to upgrade unless you just really want everyone to hear you.
@japan_nobunaga Where I live in a small rural town in Texas, it's a 30 minute drive, at 75mph down an interstate highway, to get to the nearest grocery store. We have a gas station in town, with necessities, snacks and a grill that people in town will walk to. But when it's 110°, we drive.
@sakebu_cheese_ Considering rent, Louisiana. The other 3 will be 3 of the most expensive. I might recommend Ft. Worth TX. You can find reasonable rent, can enjoy any night in/around town, if you want to fly around the country for travel, it's close to DFW airport. If driving, it's in the middle
@japan_nobunaga Texas. We're definitely our own country.
Also, that was the original plan for the founders of this country. 50 states, all running themselves, who send a few representatives to Philadelphia (now Washington D.C.) to provide a united front to the world in trade and war.
@uiyui_jk Yes. There will come a day when the world's powers, in a call to "unify and accept" everyone, will install a one world government, even if they have to force it on some people. It's a common "conspiracy theory". It's also talked about in the Bible, in Revelations.
@LeahRay44 Us Texans feel the same way. It's where Texas pride comes from. We are a different bunch. And if you travel the whole state you'll see we are a quite varied group as well, and we enjoy that variety.
