Had a phone conversation with my friend and colleague @SecDef Lloyd Austin III.
We talked about recent events in russia. We agree that the russian authorities are weak and that withdrawing russian troops from Ukraine is the best choice for the kremlin. russia would be better served to address its own issues.
We also discussed the #UAarmy's counteroffensive and the next steps in strengthening our Defense Forces.
Things are moving in the right direction.
Ukraine will win.

2. пригожин є тільки частиною групи і частиною плану, верхівкою айсберга процесу дестабілізації.
3. На росії сформувалась група невдоволених – силовиків, чиновників і олігархічного капіталу, – яка вважає дії путіна смертельно небезпечними для власних інтересів і свого існування, загрозою для рф.
4. пригожинський ростовський марш-кидок – демонстрація серйозності намірів, можливостей, що існують, і створення умов для початку процесу владного транзиту – добровільного або примусового. Колони вагнерівців або інших структур можуть таки дійти до «червоної площі».
5. У путіна залишилась єдина можливість порятунку – тотальна зачистка силового блоку, фізична ліквідація ПВК «Вагнер», демонстраційне покарання пригожина, введення в країні воєнного стану і розгортання масових репресій. Чи спроможна виконати ці функції каральна машина імені золотова-бортникова, орієнтована на побиття хіпстерів, жінок та підлітків, – велике питання.

prigozhin’s “Rostov transit”, the main points in brief:

1. prigozhin’s “rebellion” is the first stage of dismantling the putin system.
2. prigozhin is only part of the group and part of the plan, the tip of the iceberg of the destabilization process.
3. In russia, a group of dissatisfied people has formed – security forces, officials and oligarchic capital, who consider putin’s actions to be deadly for their own interests and existence, a threat to russia.
4. The prigozhin Rostov march is a demonstration how serious are intentions, what opportunities exist, and the creation of conditions for the beginning of the process of power transit, either voluntary or forced. Columns of Wagnerites or other structures may eventually reach the “red square”.
5. putin has only one way to save himself: a total purge of the power bloc, the physical elimination of the Wagner PMC, demonstrative punishment of prigozhin, the introduction of martial law in the country and the deployment of mass repression. It is a big question whether the zolotov-bortnikov punitive machine, focused on beating hipsters, women and teenagers, is able to fulfill these functions.
6. The real russian group for future negotiators with Ukraine already exists, but remains in the shadows, however, lukashenko’s participation in this process is not excluded.
7. The putin regime has been stabbed in the back, if not instantly deadly blow, but certainly inevitable, albeit delayed in time.

But... everything that can go wrong in russia will go wrong, and the “prigozhin incident” can launch/has launched processes with unpredictable consequences. The countdown has begun.
