Who is Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga for?
It is designed for certified yoga instructors, licensed mental health practitioners, licensed social workers, or those who actively work with communities in which trauma is a prevalent or systemic aspect of everyday life.
The Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga methodology is based on central components of the hatha style of yoga, where participants engage in a series of physical forms and movements. Elements of standard hatha yoga are modified to maximize experiences of empowerment.
Unlike many public yoga classes, TCTSY does not use physical hands-on adjustments to influence a participant's physical form. Rather, TCTSY presents opportunities for participants to be in charge of themselves based on a felt sense of their own body.
Expand your knowledge as a practitioner to include the foundations of #TraumaSensitiveYoga, and join us for our upcoming virtual 20-hour training the weekend of Jan 31-Feb 2, 2025.
