1 in 8 women will be dx w/ breast cancer in their lifetime. Survived breast cancer tx at the age of 42 in 2018 (IDIC stage 3b BRCA2+). A legacy in process.
Struggling with Letrozole lately - at my five year mark and oncologist wants me to continue until 10. Are these side effects reversible once you stop? Worried I am damaging my body - in terms of joint issues. I am only 45.
@rissiekins@800Goddesses Wow! I love that you did this - this is what Pinktober should be about - the reality. I am sure many women saw you on the beach and were reminded to check themselves. You are a beautiful mermaid!
This piece by Allie Molenda, uses the dandelion as a metaphor to reflect on “the dichotomy of emotions that many women face with breast cancer, specifically hormone blocking" #breastcancerawareness#breastcancer https://t.co/nDOXdlDiWO
@laurasweetjane@welliesnseaweed I was just discussing this today during my yoga class- I may finally understand my third chakra - "becoming who you are" which allows your mind to finally honor the intelligence of your body - and let her guide.
@laurasweetjane So inspiring! I am trying to bio hack myself right now with 30 minutes of something everyday plus Whole Foods only. Test to see if I can finally get some of these post cancer side effects to release.
'Pharma Dilemma' by Allison Molenda- part of her 'Aftermath' collection aimed at creating awareness on life post #breastcancer - "you are still dealing with treatment years after chemo, rads and surgery. The daily treatment is almost worse"

@Jiffs81@ThanksCancer Yes - and I can't figure it out (note I am eating a banana as I am typing this). I tried magnesium pills as well as a Whole Foods diet plus yoga everyday. I also have a weird spot in my calf that seems to always be ready to cramp
"Organic femininity...killing me. " Organic lemongrass on black. Collection - "The Aftermath." Awareness on the reality of breast cancer. Another thing I didn't know before being diagnosed - the role of estrogen in breast cancer.

@MinThomp Oh no..shamed again if only a "healthy lifestyle" could cure my mutation! I opted to do art this year to bring awareness to the reality of life as a survivor...the "aftermath"..
Any artists out there - interested in an online exhibition on the "Aftermath"...the reality post "active "breast cancer treatment? I find that the worst is now - and I am really missing my estrogen. The things they don't tell us.
@DarkStormX2@Wolfiesmom Not at all - my kids are here visiting and they are scared to death. Thankful they don't attend school here. No guns in Tanzania.
@Liz_ORiordan I love this-don't let the people "lining their pockets" tell you to stop posting - it shows post traumatic growth and is inspiring to many of us who have morphed our talents after BC
