Here's the thing. I've always been a "live and let live" type. "Trans couples guard their pot plants with an arsenal of guns" is probably the easiest way to put it.

When you start upending the ability for people to just live their lives, that's when I take issue.

Fact of the matter is the current administration made life more expensive, made life more difficult for a LOT of people, created and then doubled down on fear as an institutional norm, turned the highest offices in the land into a mockery, decided identity politics and memeing on main was more important than policy and action, and attempted to distract the public by renaming lakes instead of giving provable answers to major issues involving personal enrichment and extreme governmental corruption.

All the while, the conservative talking heads and memelords screamed at the top of their lungs to "suck it up f*ggot" and called everyone "woke" and "soft" and raged on about how "DEI bad".

All of it was a giant fucking misdirection play that every shitbag chud gooner lapped up like the good dogs they were while they got fistfucked by the ultra-polarizing "NIMBY, but national!" crowd while Trump pardoned the president of Venezuela and nearly put a death row inmate's execution on a live stream all while he shuts down inquests into Polymarket and Kalshi and enriches himself to the tune of billions of dollars.

But yo, trans women are going into women's bathrooms. That's the REAL issue. Oh and they totally want your kids to transition, too. Watch out for those trans folks and the DEI video game developers they're what's ruining this country.

The government in its current form is the largest mockery of a government I have seen or even HEARD of since my grandfather's time on this earth.

The reality of it is now we get to watch in real time as the government demonstrates, with impunity, how well the "checks and balances" system works, and now Donathan has to actually try to be nice or get fucked for the next 2 years, because the only way anything is going to actually happen for him, and the only way he'll have his legacy be anything other than a gaudy ballroom where the rose garden used to be, is if he decides that being bipartisan isn't all that bad after all.
