One Piece of Advice, by Yvonne Hughes, is a practical, positive book of hints and tips to help you or someone you love get through breast cancer treatment.
About to start advocating for publicly funded lymphoedema services with @RyanPark_Keira#HCNWxRyanParkMP Excited to see if my question has been selected!
A brilliant review of our ITIM has been published in ‘Psychosis’ this week.
@Jaimi_Shrive and I are both delighted by this academic review of our manual.
We worked so hard on this book, and to see it being understood and recognised like this is wonderful @Victim_Focus
#breastcancer is serious and #mammograms detect it early, saving lives. Please read my thoughts on BreastScreen NSW closing services during COVID. https://t.co/9EeBBZayzp

This patient visited her GP for TWO years. It started as a swollen foot. Ignoring warning signs he left #Lymphoedema to develop.
WHY is this happening?
WHY is there NO awareness?
Support LE research and education and stop this from happening NOW! @gaynor_leech @physiopodukltd
@cosmocat42 Not standard at all! If your surgeon referred you, am I right that you saw them privately? My area has no public services at all, so if you can’t pay, you miss out. A Medicare number would make this a billable item
Lymphoedema awareness month- fact 1- the word lymph is associated with Greek word Nymph- a being associated with clear water or streams or the Roman god Lympha, associated with again with clear water. The lymph system’s role in fluid balance has been long recognised!
“the average American medical school graduate receives an exposure to the lymphatic curriculum for less than 30 minutes within a four-year medical education.”
Are we doing any better in Australia? #lymphoedema Publicly funded treatment is still not available for so many... 😢
