Nigerians are often quick to move on from tragic events, and slowly, that attitude is becoming a curse to us as a people. However, on this issue involving the kidnapped students and teachers from Oyo State, we must not move on until they are safely released.
As a public school teacher, I believe this is the time to show solidarity with our colleagues and the children currently in captivity. Starting from Monday, June 1, 2026, public school teachers should consider staying away from work until those in captivity regain their freedom.
To parents with children in public schools, I understand the sacrifice this may require. However, this may be one of the strongest ways to send a message to the government that Nigerians have not forgotten these children and their teachers. In solidarity, parents should consider keeping their children at home.
We cannot move on as if nothing has happened. Today it is Oyo State; tomorrow, none of us knows where such an attack could occur next.
Take a moment and imagine what those children may be going through. For two weeks, they have been separated from their parents and loved ones. Nobody knows their current condition. Nobody knows whether they are being properly fed, whether they are sick, frightened, or traumatized. The emotional and psychological impact on those children may last a lifetime.
Imagine young children exposed to harsh conditions, insects, snakes, scorpions, and countless dangers, far away from the comfort and protection of their families. We cannot simply move on. Today marks two weeks since they were taken, and we must continue to raise our voices until they return home safely.
This is the time for Nigerians to stand together and send a clear message to the government: bring our children and teachers back.
Let us stand in solidarity with those still in captivity.

A nation is measured by how it protects its children. Today, 46 children need our voices. Let us stand together and demand renewed efforts to ensure their safe return.

Nuhu Usman aka Ogbegbe, posing in front of his car.
But the question is, how much does he earn to have this kind of car? Maybe, he also unalived the real owner of this car and took it🤷
When Naija police officers tell you, “I will k*LL you and nothing will happen”, it's because they have been doing and most times they get away with it.

Uniform no be license to treat citizens like animals. 🚔❌
They can seize the phone, but they can’t seize the spirit. Being young is not a crime. Being Nigerian should not be a death sentence.
RT if you want a Nigeria where we can breathe. 🗣️

A just released press statement from the Nigerian Police Force…
My question is, why cover the face of the police officer who committed this atrocity? How can we be sure you arrested the right policeman? So many unanswered questions 🤔🤧🤧

The world needs to see the monsters Nigerian citizens face every day. This is the reality of 'security' in Nigeria. If you have a uniform, you have a license to harass, extort, and kill. This is a disgrace to the continent.
