@kelsmister@PokeTCGAlerts Me watching GameStop charging 50% or higher over MSRP or RRP for the boxes right off the bat. Every other Major retailer can do the same if they can.
If these people are bound by stricter laws they shouldn't be able to charge more than what TPCI sets their designated prices to.
@kelsmister@PokeTCGAlerts I'd rather them just do what some stores do. If you let them tear the packaging you get it for msrp, otherwise you pay double.
Lets me open my damn packs and deters resellers.
@AnonWake@techedgedaily@Dexerto Sony's the one funnelling the funds to keep the development going. When they sat down with Bungie and saw the numbers it was their decision to shut it down because they're the publishers for the game. Development wise it was Bungie, final call was on Sony.
@VertexVibes@RickKackis The sane ones of us don't wanna force it, we wanna show them it's wanted. Numbers on a spreadsheet speak louder than words to the corporate side and getting more people talking about it - no matter how that may be at the start - is the only way to do that.
@redacted6827@PlumbGecko_2 But once again it hasn't been delivered. They look at numbers on the sheet, see numbers do good and move on. Numbers do bad and they axe something and move on. That's how corporate works. Wanting something doesn't bring Sony to the table, and honestly I don't think anything will
@redacted6827@PlumbGecko_2 I agree with this. Poor management led to them holding back all the issues that could have been fixed earlier on or potentially starting work on a 3rd game to remedy them and start anew.
This mostly stems from horrible management (with a good bit of poor dev decisions too)
@redacted6827@PlumbGecko_2 For that I will point to the begging there has been for years for Sony to bring Bloodborne to PC or even have fromsoft develop a sequel to the game. Despite the success of Elden Ring and others, there's nothing on Bloodborne.
The same would apply to Destiny in this case.
@varricsbianca I don't think it would be 500 million, but the cost would be absurd. After Concord I doubt Sony has it in them to toss that much at a company again for a game and a studio that needs major restructuring.
However for an IP as big as Destiny, it's possible. But only barely..
@redacted6827@PlumbGecko_2 As for Destiny being a financial liability, it still had steady - albeit not a lot - income to support the company even a little.
If more attention was given to the struggles and issues being discussed, I'm sure it could have had a resurgence on the scale of something like ff14
@redacted6827@PlumbGecko_2 It's misguided anger. I agree that if Marathon doesn't get support then that's it for Bungie and I personally think it's a good game with A LOT of promise.
However if it gets that support, it vindicates sony's decision. If it doesn't, Bungie is cooked. There's no clear path atm.
@redacted6827@PlumbGecko_2 For reference I want a D3, I would do whatever I could for it to exist. But knowing how major corporations think it's obvious what their decision would be.
@redacted6827@PlumbGecko_2 Because rather than spend hundreds of millions on developing D3, in their eyes it's better for them to invest in a game in it's infancy that they don't need to spend that much money on.
Think like a business which is what they are, you'll come to the same conclusion.
@Gget_3D@AznSlickSlaya 0 incubation projects currently, 2 active games with one losing support and only servers remaining open and the other a dwindling playerbase.
It ain't looking good chief.
