I’ve driven—well, at this point I should probably say ridden in—my Tesla from Florida to Dallas, TX and back, and from Florida to Huntsville, AL and back. FSD handled about 99.5% of the driving, which means I basically spent those trips as a chaperoned passenger with very strong opinions about lane selection.
Whenever someone says FSD isn’t restful or productive because “you still have to supervise it,” I know they haven’t actually lived with it. Maybe they tried it once in a parking lot or on a three-minute grocery run. Because anyone who’s used it for real road trips knows: this thing turns long-distance driving into a sightseeing tour where you occasionally check in like a substitute teacher taking attendance.
Driving becomes way less taxing and way more fun. You get to look around, think, chill, and enjoy the ride instead of micromanaging every curve and stoplight. And honestly, I’ve lost track of how many accidents it has probably saved me from. There have been moments where I thought, “Yep, that would’ve been exactly the moment I messed up,” and FSD just glided through like a zen monk with turn signals.
It even handled downtown Atlanta traffic like it was Sunday morning yoga. Meanwhile, I’ve seen actual humans white-knuckle their steering wheels through that area like they’re defusing a bomb.
So yes—having a chauffeur who never gets tired, never gets sleepy, never gets hangry, and costs roughly $3 a day? That’s a deal. At this point I’m not sure if I own a Tesla or if the Tesla owns me, but either way, I’m enjoying the ride.
This incredible accomplishment not only demonstrates the impressive capabilities of the vehicle but also adds an element of fun and creativity to the world of automotive challenges. Beating a Porsche 911 while towing another is a testament to both engineering and a touch of playful audacity.
@gunsnrosesgirl3 Swans are the only creatures that can cause a traffic jam and still look elegant doing it. It's like they're saying, "We might be birds, but we understand the concept of a 'walk' signal better than most pedestrians!"
The Tesla Cybertruck's potential for success doesn't solely hinge on its distinctiveness but rather on Tesla's audacity to create something so remarkably different. In a market saturated with conventional designs, where conformity often reigns supreme, Tesla's bold move with the Cybertruck represents a departure from the norm. This daring endeavor demonstrates not only Tesla's commitment to innovation but also its willingness to challenge the status quo.
@ConanOBrien It's great to hear that meeting John Candy turned the old saying 'Never Meet Your Heroes' upside down! It sounds like he was as sweet as the candy he shares a name with. It's always a treat when a hero not only meets but exceeds your expectations!
@narendramodi The Tejas is indeed a significant achievement in India's aerospace sector, symbolizing the country's growing capabilities in defense technology and manufacturing.
@elonmusk Wow, that's impressive! A 17% increase over Instagram and a staggering 30% over Facebook? While I'm not an expert, these figures seem remarkably high and indicate a significant impact.
According to the great Sir Walter Scott, "When you start pulling the wool over folks eyes or playing the honesty hide-and-seek, you might as well be navigating a maze blindfolded!" In other words, it's like trying to juggle flaming torches while riding a unicycle on a tightrope over a pit of hungry crocodiles – all for the sake of a little trickery!
