@RenjiroI74667@JanSierada@4NonyaBusiness@TheBrancaShow Both siding this discussion downplays the aggressive and targeted efforts of Republicans to actively curb and disenfranchise the ability of opposing voters to have their issues and wishes fairly addressed. Yes; both sides do it but neither the same way nor for the same reasons.
It's also entirely possible that SpaceX, and we know who runs it, made a move to purchase a SHIT TON of those NVIDIA GPUs, without a need of their own, to create a shortage they could leverage to create a revenue stream like scalpers buying Pokemon cards and reselling them online
Wait. Google is paying SpaceX $920 million per month for GPUs?
Google. The company that builds its own TPUs. That runs one of the largest cloud infrastructures on earth. Is renting 110,000 Nvidia GPUs from a rocket company.
I'm honestly not sure what to make of this. Either Google's AI compute needs have gotten so massive that even they can't build fast enough. Or SpaceX has built something in AI infrastructure that nobody was paying attention to. Or both.
$920M a month. $30B over the contract.
Whatever is happening behind the scenes at these companies is moving way faster than what we see publicly.
and his narcissistic need to feed his own interests. He has no regard for history because real estate developers always think that newer is better and only cares about America as a brand identity to fulfill his wants and desires instead of as an idea to aspire to.
Trump is a guy who thinks he knows better than everyone else and he is trying to, "beautify" DC with his overstuffed resort style aesthetic driven by his jealousy of the grand palaces and monuments of his favorite world leaders (Putin, Xi, Un) combined with his weird gold fetish
Legally they are correct, and I suspect the reason Trump is on the remodeling tear he's on is because someone told him that and he's the kind of person that gets off on believing he has the power to do whatever he wants. It's not authoritarianism so much as plain narcissism.
This is fucking insane.
The Trump DOJ just stood in federal court and said with a straight face that the authoritarian regime could bulldoze the Statue of Liberty tomorrow — and there's nothing anyone could do about it.
When a judge asked point-blank: "If the government decides to destroy the Statue of Liberty before anyone can sue… nothing can be done?" The DOJ lawyer answered: "I think that's right, yes."
Let that sink in.
They're openly admitting they believe Trump has the power to erase one of America's most sacred symbols — the literal beacon of freedom for millions of immigrants — and the courts can't stop them in time.
This is authoritarian, dangerous, un-American bullshit.
The Statue of Liberty isn't their property to demolish on a whim. It belongs to the American people.
Wake the hell up, y'all!
The studio seems to be targeting a different audience with Supergirl than it did for Superman, perhaps one they feel is a bit more hip and has a bit more edge. An audience who's a little less enamored with Superman '25 idea of heroism.
This kind of self-deprecating jokiness is starting to get tiresome.
I get it. It's a meta joke, but why... ?
It takes the viewer out of the story by breaking the suspension of disbelief in a world where the impossible is possible and weird things happen regularly.
@1stbrandonadams "How does this represent what comics are today?"
They... don't? Isn't that the point? To start with a historical reference that allows a genuine appreciation for the form to grow as opposed to throwing new readers into a continuity meat grinder of complex, self referential art.
EVERY PERSON is a, "POTENTIAL" abuser because we all have the capacity to commit acts of abuse or behave in abusive ways.
Make better points, post better arguments, stop being an asshole.
Look, I understand why some people would ask why you need to keep monitoring something that was, "eradicated" decades ago but that's why you need knowledgeable people who can step up and correct these people and give them the facts.
The New World Screwworm, a grave parasitic threat, has just been detected in US cattle for the first time since it was eradicated in 1966.
The parasite's revival comes after Trump and DOGE slashed funding for Screwworm monitoring programs.
This scene hit hard and more polls show it's unfortunately accurate sadly.
"They let us all come out, so now we're standing in the open ready for them to shoot us down" - such a devastating line.
placement despite the fact that no one vying for position, no one can win and everyone gets access the same resource because it never runs out. The traffic issue is academic next to the HUMAN issue that can't be accounted for. People are selfish, emotional and irrational assholes
The reason why neither of these analogies work is because a traffic lane is not a finite resource where for every one person using there is another who can't. At the same time people in traffic have this weird tendency to treat merging as some imagined competition for prime
This is a terrible analogy. Here's a better one:
There are two generators people can use to charge their phones. 100 people are charging. They can connect to either generator, but the more that use one generator the slower the phones charge.
Then one generator announces...
equipment and create scarcity, making long term viability of this approach more difficult. Add to that the cost and hassle of having to maintain your own equipment, software and networks, which was not figured into this cost, and you may not end up as well off as you imagine.
And like most magic tricks this only works once. As consumer equipment is manufactured at a different rate than commercial, constantly buying up inventory that is also competitively in demand BY both consumers and other businesses following suit will drive up the price of
