Tram derailment causes a traffic jam on the old Victoria Bridge this week in 1940. Possibly a rare sight at the time (?) but now a common sight with blue, white and yellow buses similarly stacked. We hope Metro will improve this situation.🤔 Pics: SLQ, Harrison Saragossi

Parents mounted a campaign for road safety improvements after a RLJ near miss last year just north of Stewart Road. New state and council plan is to direct kids to underpass, which is a sizeable detour and inaccessible from Stewart.

@dude_macsporran @UnwalkableBris1 @ozbob13 @brisbanetimes Buses are cheap, flexible and can use existing roads that can be easily repurposed. We have so much excess lane space if we care to use it more efficiently. Buses as implemented in Brisbane are crap. Heavy and light rail better investment than Gympie Rd Tunnel but start simple.

The typical antics in council chamber are demonstrative of a toxic workplace but they don't capture much media attention. Hopefully these types of regressive policy statements will drive some people to take note.
