Not every @CosmicSignature reward comes from being the last to Gesture.
The Endurance Champion rewards the participant who remains the latest Gesture maker for the longest uninterrupted period.
Sometimes, the important part isn’t making the next move.
It’s knowing when to wait
If a new gesture can extend the cycle before finalization, could the finalization itself be delayed indefinitely as long as participants keep gesturing?
Technically, yes, as long as new gestures keep arriving before the cycle actually finalizes, the finalization time can keep moving forward.
Here’s why.
Every gesture adds the current time increment to the stored Cycle Finalization Time.
So when the countdown is getting close to zero, another successful gesture can push that finalization point further into the future.
That means the cycle isn’t governed by a simple fixed end date like:
“The cycle ends at 12:00 PM.”
Instead, participation itself can keep extending the clock.
But there’s an important limit:
The cycle does eventually finalize when the Cycle Finalization Time expires and the finalization transaction is completed.
The Final Gesture participant gets a 48-hour exclusive window to finalize after the countdown reaches zero. If they don’t, the protocol enters an open-finalization window where anyone can finalize the cycle.
So the real sequence is:
Gesture → clock extends → more gestures possible → clock expires → finalization window → cycle finalizes.
This is why the Performance Cycle isn’t simply a countdown.
The participants are part of what determines when the cycle can end.
And that gives us another important question:
If the clock reaches zero but the cycle hasn’t been finalized yet, can someone still make another gesture and extend it again?

Happy new week Cosmics here’s a quick reminder
Remember one important detail:
The first Gesture of every cycle must be made with ETH.
After that, participants can use either ETH or CST.
That first move is what starts the cycle’s Finalization Time.

One interesting part of @CosmicSignature:
CST can be used for Gestures.
But CST used for a Gesture is burned, not added to the Cycle Reserve.
So CST has a role beyond simply being earned.

Cycle 2 has entered its quietest phase yet.
📅 37 days in.
🐌 Activity is slowing.
😩 Fatigue is real.
And this might be the easiest time to mentally check out.
But disappearing now could be the biggest mistake. Watch the video to find out why 👇
If your share can keep changing until finalization, when does the pool finally stop changing and become the pool used for the actual selection?
This is where the Cycle Finalization Time becomes important.
While the cycle is still active, new gestures can keep arriving.
And every successful gesture adds another Stellar Selection entry.
So the pool is still changing.
More gestures → more entries → a changing total pool.
The cycle only moves toward finalization when the Cycle Finalization Time expires.
When the countdown reaches zero, the participant who made the Final Gesture becomes eligible to finalize the cycle.
And here’s an important detail:
The countdown can be extended.
Every new gesture adds the current time increment to the stored finalization time.
So there isn’t simply a fixed moment where everyone knows from the beginning when the pool will close.
The cycle keeps responding to participation until the finalization conditions are reached.
Once the cycle actually finalizes, the Stellar Selection process can run against the completed cycle’s recorded entries.
https://t.co/UDqEK5dxAb
So think of it like this:
Cycle active → entries can keep growing.
Finalization time expires → cycle can be finalized.
Cycle finalizes → Stellar Selection happens.
That’s why your current share is never the same thing as your final position.
And now we can go deeper:
If a new gesture can extend the cycle before finalization, could the finalization itself be delayed indefinitely as long as participants keep gesturing?

This looks random at first.
It isn’t.
It’s a Cosmic Signature NFT.
Three bodies moving under gravity, drawn from an on-chain seed. Same seed always makes the same piece.
That’s what they mean by controlled chaos.
Not luck. Physics with a leash.

CST isn’t just a reward in @CosmicSignature.
It can also be used to make CST Gestures and participate in the Cosmic Council through delegated voting weight.
So CST connects participation with coordination.

BREAKING: Cycle 2 has already crossed Cycle 1's ETH price.
The last ETH gesture in Cycle 1 was made at ~$205.
Current Gesture Price in Cycle 2 is 0.096 ETH (or $233).
How much higher will we go in the next 10 days? 🤔
A CosmicSignature cycle doesn’t end the moment the timer hits zero.
The Final Gesture participant gets 48 hours to finalize the cycle.
If they don’t, anyone can finalize it afterward.
Even the final step has its own mechanics.

A Gesture leaves more than a transaction.
It can imprint Participation CST, add a Stellar Selection entry, and help shape the cycle’s final Signature.
One action. Multiple effects.
That’s part of what makes @CosmicSignature interesting.

If everyone can keep adding entries until finalization, can your selection share actually decrease even after you’ve added more entries?
Yes.
Your number of entries can increase while your share of the total pool decreases.
Here’s why:
Imagine you have 10 entries in a pool of 100.
Your share is 10%.
Now you make 5 more gestures.
You have 15 entries.
But while you were adding those 5 entries, other participants added 100 more.
The pool is now 205 entries.
You still have more entries than before, but your share has dropped to about 7.3%.
That’s the important difference between:
Your entry count
and
Your percentage of the total pool.
@CosmicSignature confirms that every successful gesture adds one Stellar Selection entry, and that more gestures increase selection frequency. But because other participants can also keep adding entries during the cycle, your relative position can change before finalization.
So adding entries doesn’t “lock” a percentage for you.
Your entry count can only move up when your successful gestures are recorded.
Your relative share can move in either direction depending on what happens across the entire pool.
And that’s why looking only at your own number of entries doesn’t tell the whole story.
Now here’s the next question:
If your share can keep changing until finalization, when does the pool finally stop changing and become the pool used for the actual selection?

If an unselected entry doesn’t receive an allocation, does having more entries actually change your selection frequency in a measurable way?
Yes.
NFT Stellar Selection is entry-weighted.
Every successful gesture adds one entry to the selection pool. So if you make more gestures, you have more entries representing you in that pool. @cosmicsignature
For example:
1 gesture = 1 entry.
10 gestures = 10 entries.
Your entries therefore occupy a larger share of the total pool than someone with fewer entries.
But there’s an important distinction:
More entries increase your selection frequency.
They do not guarantee selection.
The protocol still randomly selects entries at cycle finalization.
And because the selections are made with replacement, the same address can even be selected more than once in the same cycle.
https://t.co/UDqEK5dxAb
So every successful gesture isn’t just another transaction.
For Stellar Selection, it creates another chance to be selected.
Now the next question gets more interesting:
If your number of entries increases during the cycle, when exactly does your share of the selection pool change?
#CosmicSignature #Cycle2 #CST
If your number of entries increases during the cycle, when exactly does your share of the selection pool change?
It changes as your successful gestures add new entries.
Every successful gesture records one Stellar Selection entry. So your participation isn’t locked to the number of entries you had at the beginning of the cycle.
https://t.co/UDqEK5dxAb
For example:
1 gesture → 1 entry
5 gestures → 5 entries
20 gestures → 20 entries
As your entry count increases, your portion of the total entry pool increases too, assuming the rest of the pool stays unchanged.
But here’s the important part:
The pool is dynamic.
While you’re adding entries, other participants can also make gestures and add theirs.
So your own entry count can go up while your relative share stays the same, increases, or decreases depending on what everyone else does.
That’s why your current position in the pool isn’t the same thing as your final position.
The final selection only happens when the cycle reaches finalization.
And that leads to our next question:
If everyone can keep adding entries until finalization, can your selection share actually decrease even after you’ve added more entries?
#CosmicSignature #Cycle2 #CST
If the outcome is only determined at finalization, what happens to all the entries that weren’t selected?
They simply remain unselected for that cycle.
Remember, every successful gesture creates one Stellar Selection entry. At finalization, the protocol randomly selects from the entries in that cycle. @CosmicSignature
If your entry isn’t selected, that doesn’t mean your gesture was invalid.
It means your entry participated in the selection, but wasn’t one of the entries chosen for an NFT Stellar Selection allocation.
And because selections use replacement, even an address that has already been selected can potentially be selected again during the same cycle.
https://t.co/59KDsmMXGS
So there are three different things to keep separate:
Successful gesture → entry recorded.
Entry selected → allocation received.
Entry not selected → no NFT Stellar Selection allocation from that selection.
Your gesture still happened.
Your entry still existed.
It simply wasn’t chosen.
That distinction is important because participation and selection are two different events.
Now here’s the question we should dig into next:
If an unselected entry doesn’t receive an allocation, does having more entries actually change your selection frequency in a measurable way?
