The fact is that many of you are doing much mental gymnastics to deny the cishetero privilege that exists in society that you want to keep. You are consciously or subconsciously aware of the stigmas around non-heterosexuality (especially in men, triple it in black men) that you wish to not be a part of as a woman (especially as a black woman).
If there weren’t any stigmas around it, you would not have this “preference” because it bears no weight in quality of your relationship.

1. no one is talking about human rights being violated because they aren’t being chosen, so really what the fuck are you on about?
2. Dating is discriminatory and subjective, however the is a line between personal choice and bias rooted in harmful stereotypes or prejudice which you can easily further perpetuate.

The man in your DMs is a terrible comparison. You rejecting him is very likely around personal choice, you could provide logical reasons (not steeped in bias) as to why you aren’t attracted to him or interested. The same can’t be said for the case with a bisexual man. I have yet to see a LOGICAL reason, especially when you find out after expressing attraction and interest in said man, as to why he is no longer an option to you.

No one is saying you should date bisexual men ( hell please don’t, you’d make a terrible partner), what you need to be comfortable with is being identified as someone with bi/homophobia (bigot)

Shit like this is honestly dumb and divisive, and clearly rooted in some negative experience of interacting with some Africans.
The black experience in America alone is not uniform, black people sound different depending on location, eat different foods and different customs, and have so much variety within the US. Yet you do the thing that you ask not to be done and treat black Americans as a monolith and position them all against Africans.

There’s so much variation within the black American populace in the US alone that going out the way to highlight these differences between black people in and out the US seems moot.

Because of the large cultural variety, there can’t be uniform “ethnic” pride, it is racial pride that unites black Americans. The issue is you feel the need to exclude other black people from this racial pride also.
