i love jack quaid. i love motion capture. there is no reason that jack quaid needs to motion capture when he is a literal cube. an animator would bring 9999x more life to this than an ape in a onesie.
> Be me
> Wonder why my new Logitech bluetooth mouse keeps disconnecting from its bluetooth connection
> Use keyboard to go into Settings, turn BT off and then back on and it starts working again
> Think it's something blocking the signal, but it's not
> This happens every five fucking minutes now
> Check battery. Battery is brand new. Replace it anyway
> Every five minutes it dies, I have to go into settings, etc etc
> Finally have enough, look into buying new mouse
> Before purchasing, decide to look up any issues with this BT mouse
> Ask Grok, something that AI is actually very, VERY good for. Turns out Microsoft is entirely to blame
> The fix: you have to go into your Device Manager
> Device Manager is in your Control Panel
> Your Control Panel is a legacy windows interface that Microsoft is desperately trying their best to make you stop using for some fucking reason, they want you to use Settings instead
> But you can't apply this fix without opening your Device Manager
> Go into your Device Manager, open the Bluetooth pulldown, select Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) and don't get ANY ideas about infringing on Intel's wireless bluetooth trademarks and copyrights because why the fuck else would they inform you of this in the fucking Device Manager
> Right-click, Properties. Select the Power Management tab
> Unclick "Allow this computer to turn off device to save power"
> MS apparently made it so that it turns the device all the way off, they set it to "ON", and they made that the default setting WITHOUT TELLING FUCKING ANYONE
> Begin to understand why everyone fucking hates Windows 11
Let me introduce the racehorse Sweep Tosho. 🏇
Her career record stands at 24 starts and 8 wins, including 3 G1 victories.
She is the first horse that comes to mind when talking about fillies with temperament issues, and her nickname is "The Spoiled Queen."
In the 2004 Fillies' Triple Crown series, she finished fifth in the Oka Sho and third in the Oaks, but went on to win the final leg, the Shuka Sho, claiming her first G1 victory.
The following year, in 2005, after finishing second in the Yasuda Kinen, she won the Takarazuka Kinen—marking the first victory by a filly in 39 years in an era when colts were generally considered to have the upper hand over fillies. She also won the Queen Elizabeth II Cup and was named JRA's Best Filly/Mare Aged 4 and Over, achieving a record that remains remarkable even by historical standards.
However, she had a bad habit of refusing to budge an inch whenever something didn’t suit her—whether it was training, warming up, or entering the starting gate—which caused the team a great deal of trouble.
Despite her remarkable talent and ability, her inability to train properly often led to her entries being withdrawn from races. Her regular jockey, Kenichi Ikezoe, later remarked, “I think she could have won five or six G1 races if she’d been able to train properly.”
She has also played a major role in cementing the image that “when it comes to temperamental horses, think of jockey Ikezoe.”
It seems jockey Ikezoe had quite a hard time with her as well; when asked in a TV interview, “Would you want Sweep Tosho as a girlfriend?” he immediately replied, “Nah, that’d be tough,” cutting the question short.
As an aside, it seems he’d like to marry Curren Chan.
After her retirement, she became a broodmare and produced a foal sired by Orfevre, the Triple Crown winner for whom Ikezoe was also the primary jockey.
Since both parents were known for their notoriously difficult temperaments, racing fans were abuzz with comments like “Ikezoe’s personal machine” and “This time, Ikezoe’s life is truly in danger!”; unfortunately, however, the foal never made its racing debut.
