@Tarheels234@SKOLABEAR@SeifertESPN I was a Kirk guy but off the Achilles it would've been a tough year or more. He's finally fully healthy and slinging it again but he's 38.
If anything, they should have resigned him this year instead of Kyler.
@KVN_03 Think of it this way:
When US dudes have to play with a teammate, it's like the vikings offense being on the field.
When US dudes play singles (of regular pga events), it's like Vikings defense or special teams being on the field.
@1PerspectiveOr2@DouglasJayMcCl1@99friscoo If you believe in your QB you can easily trade one other highly paid piece and afford a 3/100M deal. Or make a series of cuts, etc. They didn't believe he was worth doing that, it is what it is.
@imsTony27@markvalorian@44DoubleJ@GBMcDonald90 Because now D can't take pot shots after a guy gives themselves up by diving. With a strategic dive a QB gets head low & easier for a defender to avoid accidentally making significant contact to the head. A slide (especially late ones) just invites harmful accidental contact.
@ColeMinder@MaTTicon_@David13David@RGIII@OuttaPocketRG3 He has to try to get to the side. Players do it a lot. Maybe isn't fair, but that's the rule and that's the way out.
Sticking arms out to the side doesn't prevent body weight, especially like this where he doesn't even try to brace against the ground and just belly flops lol
@LeonKennedyS24@TalkinTwins Not acting like the stoner chill dude you claim to be.
Quite the opposite really, going off on a funny line that isn't targeting any team or player. Not even sure why you're mad?
@imsTony27@markvalorian@44DoubleJ@GBMcDonald90 Back in the day QBs weren't protected. The slide (often done late) makes it so defenders typically trying to avoided penalty contact often can't avoid it.
@markvalorian@44DoubleJ@GBMcDonald90 They can dive to an open spot in the field. It's usually 1 on 1 situations that cause this where that would be pretty easy for a runner to do that. It gets the head down and more out of way. A slide exposes the head the entire way and makes it honestly tough for the D to avoid.
@SeifertESPN I remember when 10a was implemented not all that long ago and it reads like there would be a personal foul almost every play on offense and defense. Think we had AP at the time and that was how he finished runs.
They just mostly ignore it it seems unless defenseless.
@KirkLazarus07@RagnartheVike@KraftGOAT Watch the replay, QBs feet barely got off the ground, and he rolled him. Wasn't a pickup and slam, just a great sack. Not a high or low hit, no body weight, not late.
There's no doubt QB roughing calls are inconsistent, but advocating for this to be called is bonkers.
@HershiserO52524@NFL A lot of "cans" and "deems unnecessary" in that rule. Basically allows for discretion if they think there's intent to injure or overboard. Game situation and avoiding all the "must flag" penalties, no way that should ever get called.
@HershiserO52524@NFL No contact to head, didn't hit him low, wasn't late, didn't land on him with bodyweight...what exactly are you looking for here? Took him down too fast?
