In my country a lot amount of men send their wives abroad to become domestic worker and earn money, they don't work. They send the kids to 'pesantren' (look it up) and live from their wives' labor sent home. Look up 'sundaman'.

I’m 25 and I’m gonna graduate college at 27. Most of my friends have multiple kids and are married. Prob gonna be an intern at 28/29. Life will continue whether you go to uni or not. The day you stop adhering to this mindset of a “social clock” is the day you’ll know
peace.

One societal trvke that Muslims don’t want to acknowledge about the hijab is that it isn’t really about actually being modest, but rather signalling modesty.

The headscarf doesn’t protect you from unwanted attention, but puts you in a societal category which comes with a certain set of presumptions attached to it, presumptions that in certain communities give you a sense of respect (and in some, not so much).

This is why a lot of women won’t actually fulfil the religiously mandated conditions of hijab (as they violate it ie; by wearing a ton of makeup, tight clothes etc) but are still awarded a certain social status.

There’s a lot of talk on how islamosphere is uniquely obsessed with this one commandment, but it makes more sense when you view it in this light. Most people, men & women do not l care about literally following the law by the letter & obeying God, but outwardly presenting themselves as Godly.

(Also, I was talking about social views, not how it’s actually mandated, but tbh even when headcovering is spoken about in the Quran it references it a social protection as it separates lower and upper class women rather than being something that makes you inherently more modest.)

@GusDikaOfficial Kenapa gw bilang 'easy'? Karena Pertamina itu cabangnya ada banyak per daerah dan anaknya juga banyak (International, Geothermal, Retail, NRE, etc). Selain itu utk apply, yang di minta itu proposal kita jadi buat yg CV nya masih kosong gk perlu minder sama peer ambis magang 6x

@GusDikaOfficial Easiest pipeline utk lu semua yg gak punya ordal? Pas kuliah make sure buat KP/magang mahasiswa/Tugas Akhir di Pertamina. Ada banyak per daerah atau fungsi. Leave a good impression on your buddy/mentor/user. Apply pas talent pool buka, notify them, and they can pull some strings.
