Dumbest cop in the world arrests a paraplegic man on an accusation that he KICKED down a woman's door and ran away ON FOOT.

A woman filed a false police report alleging that Charles Reed—who has been paralyzed from the waist down for decades—kicked down her door, choked her, and fled the scene ON FOOT. Instead of exercising basic common sense, officers issued a felony arrest warrant.

​ Reed voluntarily arrived at the College Park Police Department in his wheelchair to resolve the mistaken identity and clear up the absurd accusation.

​ Rather than investigating the physical impossibility of the claim, Officer Bilott and attending officers immediately treated Reed with suspicion, openly dismissing his paralysis as a "ruse" or an act to avoid going to jail.

​While attempting to arrest and handcuff him, the officers completely ignored his total lack of lower-body muscle control. As a the officer tried to get him to get up out of his chair.

​Even after a supervisor acknowledged the clear physical signs of long-term paralysis in Reed's legs, the officers refused to undo their mistake, passing the buck to the court system instead of admitting their error.

​The felony charges were ultimately dropped, and the primary arresting officer resigned in lieu of termination following release of the body cam.

Meanwhile, the accuser was never charged for filing the false report.
​This entire incident stands as a glaring example of systemic failure, lack of empathy, and sheer incompetence within police procedure.

Reed does have an attorney and reports are they are looking into filing a lawsuit.
