@RobertZayasNY@Sect2athletics@NYSPHSAA “Blanket”, premature decisions continue to be driven by optics, politics and fear. Easier to cancel than to put in the time and effort to develop “doable” strategies to allow the kids to play. Used to be proud to live in the Capital District and call myself a New Yorker. So sad.
Certainly a difficult decision, however at this time our focus must be on maximum participation of students. Making this announcement now provides schools and Sections with flexibility to appropriately plan & schedule the remaining seasons of the 2020-2021 school year. @NYSPHSAA
A group of high school athletes wanted their voices to be heard at the Fulton County Health Dept. Officials decided not to let them play until the infection rate is 4% or lower. Students making the argument that a neighboring county got the green light, so they should too. @WTEN
@ShenAthletics County Health Departments had no role or say in Fall sports and they were very successful. Why? Why were they given any role or authority now?? This is proving to be a very bad decision by NYS. Our student-athletes deserve much better!!
Hey folks—Cool night to support @BCBirdBall and a great convo with John Smoltz...please RT Baseball Night in Boston - Boston College Athletics https://t.co/tAGuVQfuDF
The Iona baseball and athletics community are devastated by the sudden passing of Derek Becker.
Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Derek who knew him as the amazing, competitive
young man he was.
Once a Gael, always a Gael.

@Emmmaaclairee@HokiesSoftball Congrats Emma! Only got to see you a few times, but was impressed not only by your skill set, but also by your tenacity in the circle! It’s like “here it comes, try to hit it “! Best of luck at VT.
