VixenTools v2.10.0: The Decimation Protocol
The biggest optimization pass yet has landed, and we're not doing it alone. This drop rips the old mesh welder out by the roots and drops in a real decimator, fixes bounds that were quietly doubling on you, and points every "Locate" button at the actual thing killing your rank. Also: we forged an alliance.
Real Mesh Decimation (finally)
A genuine QEM decimator:
The old "smoothweld" only fused duplicate seam verts, so on a clean mesh it did nothing. It's gone. In its place: true Quadric Error Metric edge-collapse, the same class of tech as Blender's Decimate, that actually crushes your triangle count while holding the silhouette.
It protects what matters:
UV seams, material panel edges, eyes, mouth, teeth, and hands stay locked, so your face stays sharp and your textures don't tear while the body sheds polys.
You hold the dial:
A new Decimation Target slider (2k to 70k tris per mesh) decides how hard it hits. Slide up for detail, down for Quest.
Zero risk:
It writes a fresh mesh and never touches your original. `Ctrl+Z` undoes the whole thing.
Bounds That Actually Fit
No more phantom culling:
Auto-Fit bounds were computing in the wrong space and coming out roughly *twice* the correct size on scaled avatars. Fixed. Your body stops vanishing when you look away, and the box now matches Unity exactly. (May or May Not work yet, still trying to fix the bounds computation method)
No more mystery inflation:
A mesh no longer gets blown up by a mane or tail PhysBone it isn't even weighted to. Inflation now tracks only the bones that actually move your verts.
Straight to the Problem
"Locate" finally works:
Every VRChat performance warning's Locate button used to just grab the avatar root. Now it drops you on the *real* offender: the heaviest mesh, the widest bounds, the fattest material list, the biggest PhysBone chain, the heaviest texture. Stop hunting, start fixing.
Surgical Texture Control
Downscale what you choose:
The blanket "nuke every texture" pass is dead. A new targeting panel gives every texture its own checkbox, dimensions, and Locate button, with Select / Deselect All. Hit exactly what you want, leave the rest alone.
PLUS:
Fixes stick now:
A per-avatar state flag means applied Destructive Topology fixes actually clear from the list instead of nagging you forever.
Shader front:
Four-layer in-scene Decals, horizon specular occlusion + highlight clamp, a VRC Light Volumes re-sync, and two Thry-locking fixes that were silently dropping AudioLink and the procedural effect passes on upload. (see Gumroad library for this fix, now same version as the toolbox)
Update now through the VRChat Creator Companion: hit update on Vixens Toolbox and you're on 2.10.0.

Drop your results and any weirdness in the support channels, I want to see those triangle counts fall.

Hypnotic crystal pendulum coming soon 👀
I tried to get the physics as realistic as I could on this thing! It's pretty remarkable!
Fully Quest compatible!
DO YOU HATE STICK DRIFT IN VRCHAT?
Well, here you go, the anti drift prefab.
- What does it do?
it adds a single toggle to your avatar to turn off locomotion when you wish to just not be able to move, intentionally or accidentally

Why would you be wishing me a happy Mother’s Day? It’s just another one of those stupid commercialized- 😵💫
Aww that’s so sweet of you, my precious little darling~ Of course we can spend the day out together 💕
