Maturation and internalization of clathrin coated pits at the basal membrane of a BSC-1 cell as seen at 3.6 sec intervals and 84 nm resolution by total internal reflection structured illumination microscopy at 1.7 NA. Mature dome-like pits appear as rings because their distal ends extend outside the evanescent excitation field. Pits are color coded by lifetime since their first appearance. https://t.co/bYtG5sl0Te
