My contribution introduces ideas around violence and international law, using Libya 2011 as a case example. Taking great advice from @VasukiNesiah during @IGLP_HarvardLaw, I tried to write it as I might teach it. I hope it will be useful for those teaching undergrad PIL courses.
Sometimes after a wee period with no publications, a bunch of work comes to fruition at the same time...🥳🏆🎉🔥
A #PIL🧵

congratulations to our @RaffaelaKunz and her co-editors, for putting together such an innovative volume. Much more than just another textbook in English. + grateful for the opportunity to bring animals as potential IL persons into the picture 🐈.
The first-ever openly accessible & collectively written textbook in #IntLaw 🔓📖 :
Yota Negishi @Nyota0414 & Miharu Hirano @Czap38 interview @RaffaelaKunz, @GonzalezHauck & @maxmilas, Co-editors of "Public International Law: A Multi-Perspective Approach". https://t.co/U6Y2vQ2CJG
I can confirm the pages in 'THIS' textbook are exactly where they are meant to be.
Perhaps time to ‘shuffle’ and assign 'THAT' textbook to the dustbin of history, where it truly belongs!
Contributed to the first ever open access text on international law. It flips the script and incorporates interdisciplinary and critical perspectives
Id say that’s a great case for using it in your international law classes 😋
Momentarily emerging from my maternity leave bubble to send huge props to @GonzalezHauck@RaffaelaKunz and Max Milas for bringing this project together 👏👏- the first ever OA international law textbook - and for the chance to contribute a chapter on self-determination
