UPDATE: Monday morning, the Mayor’s Office responded to the residents’ requests with some good news!
The Mayor is granting an additional extension. The new demolition date is 10/15. Though the residents wanted more time, this still provides enough for them to move. (1/4)

We also acknowledge that when a city doesn’t have enough housing available for everyone in need, it forces people to live in unsafe conditions. Further displacement often causes more harm. We believe that everyone deserves access to safe, dignified, and affordable housing.

UPDATE: Demolition has been delayed by 10 days. The Mayor’s Office formed a working group to address the situation with various Metro agencies and social service representatives, including OTN and a resident. 9/25 is the new demolition day. Stay tuned for specific asks!
