Real shame the US is hosting the World Cup while football is in its boring, overly tactical era. Bc the sport isn't a major pillar of their culture, this was supposed to be their litmus test. But modern tactics have totally killed creative flair & risk-taking. It's a snooze fest.

The Dutch Ministry of Finance engaged the School of Economics at The University of Amsterdam to study the extent to which different migrant groups cost the Dutch taxpayer.

Extrapolating to the UK @£500k per immigrant (a conservative estimate) for every thousand illegal migrants coming ashore on the south coast we collectively incur a £500,000,000 long term liability.

Unless we change course a fiscal crunch is guaranteed. Immigration should primarily benefit the host population and not the immigrant themselves.

In 1851, England built what was then the largest glass building on Earth.

The Crystal Palace was designed by Joseph Paxton for the Great Exhibition. Made from prefabricated iron and glass, it covered 19 acres and was erected in just nine months, an extraordinary feat for the time.

After the exhibition it was dismantled, moved to South London and rebuilt even larger on Sydenham Hill.

It stood there for more than 80 years before being destroyed by fire in 1936. The surrounding area still carries its name: Crystal Palace.

One of the greatest engineering achievements of Victorian England no longer exists.

I remember watching Stranger Things with my cousins kids (8-12). They kept asking, "Was life really like that?" I had to convince them that kids actually had that level of freedom up until the early 2010s. Unfetted liberalism & our debt-based system it's stealing their future.
