Streets are for people. By closing some streets to cars on Sundays we open them for people to freely walk, jog, cycle and roll. Explore your city in a new way.

It’s a great day to explore the city! We met up with some of tomorrow’s speakers and chatted plans for the downtown core and Cogswell district with @downtownpaul and then took the ferry over to check out @OpenstreetsHFX and @AlderneyPlaza 🤗
Stopped at the donut shop, shared one with my sister and we enjoyed this Sweet Cherry Fritterand Raisin + Pecan Butter Tart donut while venturing around Dartmouth for Open Street Sunday, where they shut some streets to cars and have a big party.
@mikesbloggity@ChenderClaudia@DT_Dartmouth There are currently some barriers around cost for arrangements for street closures with bus routes or emergency vehicle routes. Some is municipal, some is provincial. We would love to expand Open streets to be every Sunday! We are working to figure it out.
The 2021 Art of City Building conference is happening tomorrow! There's still time to register to attend #AoCB2021 ⬇️
