Not sure if it was a full moon last night but it felt like it!

We had a hoax caller last night. 6 years old at 02:00 in the morning on what I believe to be a school night.
Abusing call takers swearing and even calling us the 'c-bomb'

Genuinely shocked!

The aircon is broken at work. I think I'm actually dying in my uniform. How do countries cope without it?! Will never take it for granted again 🙈 only another 5 hours left...

Been a lot of changes within the control room recently so I've taken time away to get my head around it all.

@AnonPC4 I never felt so intimidated. When recovery came he come to tell me he wasn't really recording. At this point I'd had enough and told him to do what he wants with the vrm it's getting scrapped. And it did... but even as police staff I was harassed let alone how officers feel 😔

@AnonPC4 The anxiety I had having a fully grown mam shove a camera phone in my fave interrogating my "parking" I stayed calm and told him my vehicle had broken down and was awaiting recovery. He then asked if it was my own or tax payers?! Then started zooming in on my VRM spelling it out

The strain these strikes put on the police control rooms.
It shouldn't ever come to this.
During the "day" I'm on £11.53 and my friend who works at Sainsburys gets £11.00 an hour.
Student police officers start on even less!

No. It was real distress and a scream I will never ever forget.
A male burning alive. MOP had seen this man cover himself in petrol and light a match.
He sadly died later in hospital

I feel for anyone who witnessed this incident and the males family.

Last night I took my worst call. I still don't think it's quite hit me what I've actually heard.

BT put the call with no request through to me with disturbance heard.
