Breaking News!
I have been informed by insiders, particularly relatives of @kizzabesigye1 , that Besigye is safe in the USA with his wife @Winnie_Byanyima
Yesterday was a fruitful day filled with meaningful engagements. I started the morning with the Deputy High Commissioner of India, Anatha Lyer, and the 1st Secretary, who reaffirmed their commitment to increasing FDIs in Uganda.
In the afternoon, I was pleased to host the PS @MEMD_Uganda Eng. @irenebateebe, along with Senior Counsel @FGimara & Commandant @PoliceUg Minerals Protection. We discussed collaborative strategies to address concerns in the minerals sector.
These conversations are vital as we continue our commitment to creating a supportive environment for investors in Uganda.
JUSTICE FOR LAKEN RILEY! The Illegal who killed our beloved Laken Riley was just found GUILTY on all counts for his horrific crimes. Although the pain and heartbreak will last forever, hopefully this can help bring some peace and closure to her wonderful family who fought for Justice, and to ensure that other families don’t have to go through what they have. We love you, Laken, and our hearts will always be with you. It is time to secure our Border, and remove these criminals and thugs from our Country, so nothing like this can happen again!
I met with journalists from the Teso sub-region this morning at the State Lodge before going to Kaberamaido to address a rally. I took their questions on various issues affecting the region, reiterating my stand on PDM thieves, calling for instant arrests and denial of police bonds to them.
I will engage His Lordship, the Chief Justice, to help end this specific leniency, as it undermines our overall economic objective. Whoever steals money meant to uplift our communities must not only refund the money but should also be jailed.
I was happy to meet my longtime friend Hon. Patrick Nakabale the former Youth MP for Central Region. Hon. Nakabale and I first met in 2010 during youth elections. We have been good friends for 14 years now. We thank God for this far he has brought us.
Any Republican Senator seeking the coveted LEADERSHIP position in the United States Senate must agree to Recess Appointments (in the Senate!), without which we will not be able to get people confirmed in a timely manner. Sometimes the votes can take two years, or more. This is what they did four years ago, and we cannot let it happen again. We need positions filled IMMEDIATELY! Additionally, no Judges should be approved during this period of time because the Democrats are looking to ram through their Judges as the Republicans fight over Leadership. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THANK YOU!
The lingering and persistent question of our generation is how truly can the government adopt and implement policies that can effectively and substantially gear up and set up the youths into a productive labour market and money economy. This is what needs to be answered.

H.E @KagutaMuseveni concluded his tour of Bukedi sub-region with the launch of Bukedi Zonal Industrial Hub located in Kibuku district, a monumental milestone in our journey toward transforming the lives of youth.
These Industrial Hubs reflect the President’s commitment to accessible, quality education and vocational training particularly for those who might otherwise be left behind due to financial challenges. By offering free skilling opportunities in every region, he aims to break the cycle of school dropouts and provide the youth with practical skills they need to thrive in the modern workforce.
Together, let us support this transformative vision, ensuring that each hub becomes a beacon of opportunity and empowerment for the youth of Uganda.
