It's not that AI can't be used to do knowledge work. It's that it's wildly unreliable in bizarre and incomprehensible ways. Things you'd never think it could be possible to mess up are the things that it messes up.
Like you ask it download some data and do an analysis, and instead it just completely fabricates a fictional dataset for no reason, and gives you results based on that.
Fine if you catch it, but potentially career-ending if you don't.
It inserts its own ideas without telling you. It deletes critical paragraphs.
These actions would be psychopathic in a colleague, but we're just supposed to accept it because it's a machine.
@nogunjou@hell_line0 These are the current numbers. The hidden girls in China were registered later in life so they're being accounted for now. The reality is that China has about 29 million more men than women today.
@TaintedSaint2@ArmisteadHlt@soigomaa Also my uncle told my grandmother her health decline symptoms must be all in her head, that it must be the sadness caused by the dead of my grandfather. My grandma had brain cancer and died shortly after. It's 2026 and we still get random men insisting it's all in women's head.
@TaintedSaint2@ArmisteadHlt@soigomaa I'm sure my doctors thought my pain was psychosomatic for years until my uterus got scarred so severely that now it's easily seen in ultrasounds. Now I'm prone to colon ulcers for past NSAIDs abuse. Internal endometriosis which could have been fixed by one daily pill years ago.
Extremely impressive anime summary of the Iranian revolution so far. Not to mention accurate. I had no idea AI had reached this level of sophistication.
Credit goes to @PsyopAnime who does similar videos for world events. I hope they produce a full length film 🙏🏻
I'm not sure people - especially outside the PC Enthusiast space - are prepared for how much AI is going to screw consumers starting next year. Laptops, desktops, Phones, tablets - anything that uses RAM or NAND Storage.
And the worst part - AI is just a big pyramid scheme.

@RLS_Tragedy @visegrad24 Real lesbians are a very small % of the population. In this research, most women who claimed to be non-heterosexual were actually straight.
@TheGreatWilson@Philosophi_Cat No, I personally have never been attracted to men, and I have never even kissed one. I appreciate men as friends and I adore my brothers, but I have never felt romantic love/sexual desire towards them as I have towards women.
@DebaltseveC14@Lfromthenorth I've always been a lesbian, I have never kissed a man. Declaring yourself a lesbian grants you social status? *Declaring yourself*, is that some Gen Z nonsense? Or a special "LGBT+ community* rainbow star?
I've never felt part of any "community", I'm just a woman living my life.
@Philosophi_Cat Our situation might be a bit different because we're both lesbians and it's not so straightforward to meet other lesbians if you're not actively seeking, but we're familiar with the experience that some women get used and enjoy being alone too.
@Philosophi_Cat By personal experience, I was content the 10 years I spent alone. Then I met the love of my life, another woman who was also alone 8 years before she met me. Neither of us felt the *need* to be in a relationship during those years. But here we are, and we're happily married now.
Recently I was targeted by an extremely sophisticated phishing attack, and I want to highlight it here. It exploits a vulnerability in Google's infrastructure, and given their refusal to fix it, we're likely to see it a lot more. Here's the email I got:
@kitty_raging@variedints@lukeisamazing Exactly. I'd be happy if my wife would get such a job, it would feel like a blessing.
I'd also question how much this guy really loves his wife if he feels annoyed at her for being happy (and I bet he's also exaggerating about her work routine).
@Freethinker2626 @Cluffalo When I ask another woman out I pay, obviously, because I INVITED her to dinner. I only see men crying about it. It's pathetic.
@d4m1n This is as useless as doing UI in Photoshop - only good for mock-ups or ideas.
The challenge will be explaining to clients that a designer's work can't be made with a click of a button bc of threads like this. It just highlights the lack of knowledge in the profession.
