@Goddie_Ke In London, minimum living wage is £12.72 per hour with translates to approximately Ksh 383,000 per month while in Kenya minimum wage is Ksh 15,000. Based on minimum wages, you need to work for 2.2 hrs for 1L of diesel in Nairobi while 9 minutes in London. Don't be stup|d
How do MPs approve 1.8 billion for a deputy president to spend in the next 3 months when we have so many problems in this country that that money can solve?
Fagia tu hawa waangwana. Do they know what a billion is?
Ksh. 1.8B spent over 3 months is Ksh. 20 million spent per day.
What we witnessed yesterday in Nairobi was not incompetence.
It is scripted impunity.
The Senate ordered the arrest of Johnson Sakaja, and he was presented to the Senate to answer to the county funds misuse issues.
Police had the entire weekend.
They did nothing.
Monday comes, still nothing.
4 PM: Senate summons the IG.
7 PM: Suddenly, police “arrive” at City Hall... when Sakaja is long gone.
Then they tell Kenyans live on TV, “We tried.”
No. You performed.
Because let’s be brutally honest,
If this were an ordinary Kenyan, especially a young person on X, they would have been arrested on Friday night.
No waiting. No drama. No excuses. They'd be in cells last Friday.
But when it’s pro-government leaders?
- Delays
- Optics
- Protection
Police know where Sakaja lives.
Police know his schedule.
Police can track anyone when they want.
So who are they fooling?
This is not just about Sakaja.
This is about a system that protects the powerful and punishes the powerless.
A police service that cannot enforce Senate orders is not independent.
It is compromised.
And once institutions start acting like this, the Constitution becomes optional.
That is how countries slide.
Kenyans are not blind.
So Kenya's Minister for Finance casually says, "𝗜 𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱!" and nothing happens:
▪︎ The Nairobi Stock Exchange remains unchanged
▪︎ Parliament doesn't give notice of censure/ impeachment
▪︎ The so-called president doesn't fire him
▪︎ Newspapers remain focused on funeral arrangements
▪︎ TV anchors worry about whores stranded in Dubai
▪︎ No scheduled demonstrations
▪︎ No strikes
▪︎ COTU remains silent
▪︎ Evangelical Pastors pray for Zionists & others "cast demons" out of women's vaginas
This is Alice nganga, the Thika town mp. During the anti-finance bill protests, where she voted yes to the bill, Kenyans started a campaign to kick out all MPs who voted yes in 2027.
In response, Alice nganga went on a live video with millions of money and boasted to Thika residents how she does not need re-election, because she has used their CDF money to make some personal investments. She further said the money she has made from the CDF kitty is enough to keep her and her family going, even if she is not re-elected. She openly said she has stolen enough.
The good people of Kiambu have forgotten. They want to replace Matangi with this thief. They want to entrust billions of money given to the county through the equitable share to this woman?
I'm now seeing fools calling her mama Simba. How soon do we forget?? Eloi!
When I see Ann Waiguru, I remember the KSh 791,000,000 NYS scandal that she allegedly took part in.
She went scot-free
Because she was Uhuru’s salad.
What did the people of Kirinyaga do?
They elected her as their governor for ten years, ignoring proven leaders like Martha Karua.
Now they want to make her a senator.
Buana, we should stop blaming politicians for our problems.
@PropesaTV If fools and thieves run a nation, the citizens pay the price. Socrates warned that democracy collapses when the ignorant rise to power. Kenya is now the tragic proof, barely a century into its so-called democracy.
India, with a population of 1.38 billion has 552 MPs
Nigeria, with a population of 233 million has 305 MPs
Kenya, with a population of only 55 million has 349 MPs
Tafakari haya!
I’ve been following the debate on why roads in Mt Kenya seem better than in other parts of Kenya, and some are calling it "Kikuyu privilege."
I know some won’t like this, but here’s how I see it:
It has nothing to do with Kikuyu privilege.
Since devolution began, every county has received funds for development roads, schools, water, etc, for over 10 years.
So ask yourself: what have your county leaders done with that money?
We even have the Equalization Fund to uplift poorer regions. So why are some counties still lagging behind while others are miles ahead?
Look at Murang’a under Irungu Kang’ata, roads everywhere. Then check Kwale or Kakamega, same structure, same access to funds, different outcomes.
The difference is in leadership and priorities.
If "Kikuyu privilege" was the reason, then Rift Valley would be shining by now.
Moi ruled for 24 years, Ruto has been President for 3 yet go see what Turbo or Kosachei look like.
The truth? Mt Kenya tends to elect leaders who deliver.
They may appear loud or controversial in public, but on the ground, they push for roads, water, and schools.
In that region, voters judge performance, not sub-tribe or slogans. You lose an election for failing to deliver, not because of your Kikuyu sub-tribe.
Elsewhere, tribal politics still dominates.
In Kakamega, some vote purely along Isukha/Idakho/Tiriki / Maragoli etc lines.
In North Eastern, it’s clan-based.
When leaders know they’ll win regardless of results, why would they fix roads?
They just come and say, “I’m from your tribe,” and that’s enough.
In other regions, some leaders must prove loyalty to political parties rather than to citizens. For example, in some places , you just have to kneel infront or raila , be a friend of raila and that is it . When election comes they move around telling people to vote for all odm candidates coz that way will be helping baba.
As a result such people know they dont have to win elections . They just have to say baba tosha . And they are many . From homabay , to kilifi etc
Even after 10 years of zero delivery, they’re re-elected because it’s about party loyalty, not performance.
And another thing, most leaders focus on county HQs and capital towns because that’s what visitors see.
That’s why areas near Nairobi and HQs look good while the outskirts are forgotten.
So before rushing to shout "Kikuyu privilege," let’s be honest, the real problem is mindset, priorities, and accountability.
No Kikuyu decides who you elect in your county.
Governors misuse public funds, and we let them.
If we changed how we vote, demanded results over tribe, Kenya would look completely different. 🇰🇪
@theseerheals Because being of the world gives you what you want, but not what you need.
Being with God gives you what you need, not what you want.
You gotta find a balance while still putting God first.
