each stage in "fuit gummy" will loosely follow this layout structure. Where the stage is somewhat open, though has an endpoint, and provides a shortcut to the beginning. it's also decorated with side paths and individual objectives. Think spyro 3, but with roads instead a portal
Early into the game, Hokori meets a character with a cool camper van, who will transport her to different stages. The player chooses the stage via an overview map. Each stage has objectives that will unlock a path to another. Hokori lives in a village at this location.
For "fuit gummy", the game will take place in a yet-unnamed country. Across it's land, there are 6 regions with distinct climates, each containing several stages that loosely fit the environment. I've left the names of each off of this map, but the colors outline each region.
She starts out pretty incapable of fighting. The objective of the game is to build up her ability and confidence so she can face a large battle to save her country. The player may initiate this battle at any point after a certain point in the game.
One of my game projects, working title "Fuit Gummy" stars Hokori!
She's a fruit bat of humble background. By circumstance it's been left up to her and a few others to save her country from a force that seeks to brainwash and exploit its people.
Before Hokori has learned anything, she will have a base set of abilities that may loosely incorporate each, with limited effectiveness. Hokori can do things like:
-sneak / crawl
-punch / use melee weapons
-plant and grow fruit trees quickly
-transform objects into fruit
@ULTRAVlOLENTZ Valid take. Though in my experience dudes seeing any affection as part of some fucked up transaction is just a disappointingly common thing.
Gross ass people will say this shit about any kind of woman who cares about her dog too publically.
I love making effects like this. Renders out a 2D sprite of the sword and then performs a motion blur modulated by noise and a vertical gradient. 2nd clip emulates linear motion. Both clips are slow motion. #gamedev#UnrealEngine5
Wrote an object that will swing a given weapon around procedurally. This object itself is a weapon you can equip. Decided to try making Hokori's hand follow it. This will probably not be part of the final game. Could be a fun spell?
