@CBCNews Anaesthetic Assistants and a specific post graduate program already exist, typically Respiratory Therapists but some Nurses take this advanced program
Today, with his appeal of the Court’s ruling on #Bill124 beginning, Doug Ford is coming for all of us.
@fordnation passed a law that the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms was designed to protect against.
Instead of accepting that, he’s taking us to court over it.
#onpoli
Instead of accepting a court ruling that Bill 124 is unconstitutional, the Ford government continues to waste money on a costly appeal in a last-ditch attempt to avoid paying fair wages to workers.
It’s time to end this petty campaign against the people who care for us.

Never forget! Con Ford and Con Minions repeatedly stood up in Question Period, nodded and applauded Con Jones

We deserve better as a province—its that’s simple. Healthcare is at the foundation of our country, our province, and community. We help each other.
Privatized health care is not the answer. And we’ve witnessed firsthand what private, for-profit healthcare looks like. #onpoli
Thirty-seven years ago today, Tommy Douglas passed away.
I am asking you to share this message, to remind Doug Ford that he was voted the Greatest Canadian because he spent his life fighting for publicly-funded, publicly-delivered health care.
Let’s honour Tommy’s legacy.
Critical point: private, for-profit health care is more expensive than publicly-delivered care. Obviously, there’s the extra cost of profit, but also administrative costs are higher. That’s why public money is better spent on public care.

Ont’s healthcare is in crisis b/c of understaffing & underfunding. @fordnation's plan to increase private clinics won’t make things better; it will make wait times even longer! Hospital Professionals sent a strong message on Feb13: We have the #RightToFight for public healthcare!

Today the Ford gov't ignored the health care staffing crisis and cost of living crisis.
The rainy day is right now for burnt out health care workers, people facing waits for health care and people struggling to pay for basics. #onpoli#onlab https://t.co/IaRWCYUSWB
To be clear: the same Ford government that kept wages at 1% while inflation was over 7% wants to threaten *all* our collective bargaining efforts—which will harm all workers, unionized + not.
We must say NO with one voice. Our shared future is at stake https://t.co/FuLeLycBkX
Ontario is not going to solve the hospital staffing crisis with private, for-profit contracts.
OPSEU/SEFPO hospital professionals call on the Ford gov't to work collaboratively with them on solutions in the public hospital system. #onpoli

@flindall_steve He also means you don’t pay (other than user fees of course) for services if you go there … but indirectly taxpayers pay more for less ..when profits go into owner pockets.
@vickyrobinbaum@flindall_steve And many home care professions are paid per visit. Making a proper wage requires them to do the bare minimum and move along quickly.
HPD Chair @saralabelle1 set the record straight on @CTVNews about the health care crisis. @SylviaJonesMPP ER shutdowns, regular Code zero’s for ambulances, severe understaffing & burnout can't be ignored! #onpoli
