@andreacimi Cboe data is obviously cleaner sure. But you can still mathematically build a useful intraday dealer gamma estimate without it by using IV/price behaviour to infer customer buying/selling, then mapping the dealer to the opposite side. Not perfect, but good enough. see this:
@Deepcharts@Cboe Sure but you can still build a useful approximation without knowing the side of the option by using IV/price behaviour to infer buying/selling options, then mapping the MM to the opposite side and estimating +/- gamma. CBOE is cleaner but Maths can still work; See my posts.
@xJMacD I object that. However I Appreciate the work you did but the point I want to make is that not knowing the regime will cost you. if you use the GEX then you need the regime. The regime defines the response to the move and that is continuously changing.
@xJMacD Exactly so. When it is on the major put as you said the extreme I would fade it due to being in positive gamma. But the problem is that we are in negative one. So being stopped and etc. if you donβt know the regime is changing you are gambling.
@xJMacD Look at these two screenshots for today. They are only 5 minutes apart. The first one GEX is positive. The second one GEX is substantially negative. Regime changed in less than 5 minutes. I would have bought the dip on zero gamma if this was genuine positive gamma. But it was not
@xJMacD But are not the volume GEX changes every seconds? Between you updates GEX regime can change substantially. Like today SPX turned to negative GEX in only few seconds and the whole setup changes after that. How your static levels can be helpful?
@TraderYush@Tradeify How long it took for you to pass and how long usually you take your time to get payout? I know usually these are three days but are you trying to do them in 3?
@MichaelPatak Can I get a refund. 2 micros take is a joke and misleading advert. I bought only realise this is micro. It is possible to get this done but it is not worth the time. Unlike Topstep.
@azrael_options Great framework. But doesnβt 0DTE volume materially change the GEX profile after the open? Premarket OI-based GEX can show a very different regime from the live volume-adjusted picture a few hours later. How do you account for that?
@Topstep RTP is not a great thing. I personally need 2k drawdown. If I go to RTP I just buy the next account size that gives me and do the same. It also makes people go and find the account type they need from other prop firm. Scrap this programme
