Well, it didn't stop there.

There is no Governor in Nigeria who is not now under President Tinubu receiving at least double, and in some cases triple, the federal allocation they previously received under General Buhari. And yet, some Nigerians will leave their Governors to blame Tinubu.

If you have no water, that is your state Governor's responsibility.

The owner of VlueJet, Kunle Soname, is an Ijebu by tribe and a Lukumi Yoruba by ethnic nationality. The pilot of that ValueJet flight, Captain Oluranti Ogoyi, is also a Lukumi Yoruba woman. Yet, ValueJet did not allow the most popular Lukumi Yoruba language music crooner, K1 De Ultimate, a fellow Ijebu, like the ValueJet owner, to break the rules.

That is an excellent example of putting country before ethnicity!

Nigeria can only grow when we place our country above our ethnicity.

Thank you for your feedback. I am going to make some revelations to you, and I urge you to assume I am lying and do your own research.

Neither Yeshua (Jesus) nor Yohanan (John) wrote the Gospel according to John. Who wrote it? Nobody knows for certain. The belief is that it was written by a community of people who followed Yohanan (John).

The Book of John was written ninety years after Yeshua (Jesus) 's death in AD 90.

Churches have duped many so-called Christians into thinking that Paul validated the Gospels in 2 Timothy 3:16 when he said:

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Paul was referring to the Torah, the Jewish Bible. We know this because Paul wrote the letters to Timothy long before any of the Gospels were written.

Second Timothy was written in AD 65, while the earliest Gospel was written in AD 70.

Paul died BEFORE any of the Gospels were written. Again, assume I am lying and fact-check me.

Because I do not know the origin or writers of the Gospels apart from Mark, I look at them as guides, not authorities. Even in the case of the one original Gospel, Mark, everything after Mark 16:8 is of unknown origin. It was added by people whose identities we do not know.

The original Book of Mark ends at Mark 16:8.

And it will shock you that Paul was never a Christian. He was a Jew. How do we know this? Because towards the end of his life, he wrote as follows:

Good People, I had a business in Washington DC yesterday and got into the Nigerian embassy to get a passport for my younger boy. When I went to the embassy, I found less than 12 people who came to get possibly a passport/visa. And within minutes, everyone was gone. The workers there were EXCELLENT.

In short, I could not believe the level of transformation which the team has engineered that a place which used to look like Terminus Market Jos, Ariaria Market Aba and Oshodi Market Lagos is now calm.  I want to commend the Government, the Minister in charge of the embassy, the consulate general and all the people executing the mission. You have all done well.

In the past it used to be a mayhem with young people asking for help to get their passports which have been waiting for months. What I saw yesterday was a world-class system in all forms. Truly commendable.

That takes me to this point: whatever Nigeria has done in the passport issuance system in America, can we replicate it in other areas? They have fixed this problem that I assume no one needs any big man or woman for a passport. Little things and one by one, Nigeria can improve. Salute to the #TeamPassportNigeria

What The K1 De Ultimate Versus ValueJet Saga Teaches Us About Managing Diversity and Emotions

I urge Nigeria as a nation to understand how to manage diversity and emotions from the way the Lukumi Yorubas of the Southwest have handled the saga involving probably the most popular and influential Fuji artist ever, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, AKA K1 De Ultimate, and the aviation firm ValueJet.

Rather than try to protect K1 De Ultimate, and play the victim card, it has been notable Lukumi Yorubas, who have been at the forefront of castigating him.

From Ifedayo Olarinde to Isaac Fayose, there has been a universal condemnation of his behaviour by his kith and kin.

Even the female pilot, who stopped K1 De Ultimate from boarding the ValueJet flight, Captain Oluranti Ogoyi, is a Lukumi Yoruba, like him.

I say this without fear of contradiction, no ethnicity in the Nigerian project has demonstrated self-regulation, ability to manage diversity, and group self-awareness and management like the Lukumi Yorubas.

They could have easily said that the Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Captain Chris Ona Najomo, is from the North, and that his supervising minister, Festus Keyamo, is from the South-South, and are both victimising King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, or that the punitive action, putting K1 De Ultimate on a travel blacklist (I dislike that word. Blacklist is bad, but Whitelist is good. Why does Black connote negativity), is anti Yoruba.

But have you heard even one Lukumi Yoruba say that?

I challenge you to name one prominent Lukumi Yoruba shielding or defending K1 De Ultimate in this narrative.

Another example is when Oodua nation agitators attempted to violently storm the Oyo State Government secretariat on Friday, April 12, 2024. The Governor of Oyo did not wait for the Federal Government. He used state forces to arrest the perpetrators within hours. The next day, Governor Seyi Makinde destroyed their houses. On the third day, they were in court. Today, they are in prison.

Even when there was a stampede in Oyo, Makinde had the philanthropist behind the event arrested.

Now, contrast this with how many of our Northern brothers and sisters, were recently triggered by Professor Isa Pantami to attack the President for not giving Nafisa Abdullah Aminu the $100,000, an apartment and a flat that the Federal Government gave to the victorious Super Falcon and D'Tigress winners, after she was said to have won a global English competition involving 69 countries.

The issue sharply divided social media users, with many Mutanen Arewa promising to deal with the President in 2027.

Calls that other winners of prestigious international school competitions did not get such treatment, and that the North was not being victimised, fell on deaf ears.

And then, I was curious as to why TeenEagle did not say anything about the win on their website, https://t.co/1EdJSYQ1UN. So I phoned Teeneagle directly on [phone] and was told by them that they were not aware of such a win by Nafisa Aminu and would investigate and get back to me.

Four days later, they did not get back to me. So, I sent one of my staff to their office, Gough House, Rooms 1 and 2, 57 Eden Street, Kingston Upon Thames, London, United Kingdom, KT1. The address has been permanently closed.

I checked their Instagram handle, and there was nothing about Nafisa winning any laurels.

Instead, it identified one Mohammed from the disputed country of Kurdistan as winning overall first place. The video also indicated that only six countries participated.

Additionally, all stories about the event, including that on BBC Hausa, quote either Pantami or another Nigerian source.

But when I responded with this to a person who accused me of being tribalistic for not congratulating Nafisa and her teammates, many people began labelling me as an enemy of Arewa. Imagine!

Lagos State Was Never Nigeria's Capital. It Can Name, Rename, and Un-name Anything As It Pleases

There is a lot of ignorance about Nigeria displayed by so-called activists and even journalists. I am surprised some people are saying Lagos State was a former federal capital, and for that reason, it is a no-man's land. Therefore, its politics and policies should reflect the culture and heritage of other states.

Actually, that is not historically accurate. Lagos State was never Nigeria's capital.

Yes, Lagos Island was once Nigeria's capital. But the rest of the state was not.

And that is why you see all ethnicities represented on Lagos Island. For example, the two most prominent roads on the island are named after a Fulani man, Ahmadu Bello Way, and an Igbo gentleman, Ozumba Mbadiwe.

And I am not talking about one tiny Wole Soyinka Close with a corrugated signboard. I am referring to world-class roads with vista views of the Atlantic Ocean and hosting billion-dollar infrastructure, as well as class-A embassies and foreign missions.

The capital of Lagos State is Ikeja, and the capital of the Federal Government until Thursday, December 12, 1991, was Lagos Island.

Even in the capital of Lagos, the most important, expensive and strategic public infrastructure is named after a man from Kano, Murtala Muhammed International Airport. And no Lagosian has ever complained about that, because Murtala Muhammed was instrumental to the creation of Lagos State.

It is just like London. There is a difference between the City of London and London. They are under different governments. And when you refer to London as the capital of the UK, you are referring to the City of London. The other parts of London are officially referred to as Greater London.

Even before the capital of Nigeria moved to Abuja in 1991, Lagos State was and still is like any other state. It was created to preserve the culture, traditions, and heritage of the indigenous people of the state.

This means that, in framing its policies, the Lagos State Government, its Local Governments, and LCDAs, like any other state, can and should give priority to its indigenes.

It is not cheating. It is the reason the Federal Government created states in the first place. To give specific Nigerian ethnicities their own space for their culture to thrive within the Nigerian federation.

While it is good for states to be inclusive in their culture, it is not the duty of any state other than one's own state of origin to promote your own culture, tradition, and heritage.

That is why even in the United States, some states are pro abortion, and others are not. Some are for LGBTQ, while others are dead set against it. Particular states name streets and public buildings after racist Confederate heroes, and other states do not, and even go as far as renaming public infrastructure named after such persons.

However, there is freedom of movement and association in Nigeria. Nigeria has 35 other states apart from Lagos. If you do not like Lagos State, or think it is 'smelling', then you have options.

However, I need to remind you that according to the United Nations, the dirtiest and most polluted state and city on Earth are in Nigeria, and it is not the city of Lagos or the State of Lagos. You may want to Google the identity of that state and city.

Also, please note the following:

Lagos pays above minimum wage
Lagos does not owe civil servants salaries
Lagos offers subsidised public transportation
Lagos provides subsidised public education to all residents
Lagos conducts LGA elections
The Lagos Governor does not sit on LGA funds
Lagos provides soup kitchens for the poor
Lagos provides subsidised farmers' markets
Lagos has invested heavily in public infrastructure
Lagos is the 19th best city to live in the world, according to Timeout Magazine

If you want to use the renaming of streets in Lagos as an excuse to protest, and use your protest as a ploy to destroy Lagos.
