I'm building a practical playbook for options income: covered calls, and the risk rules that matter more than the premium.
What you'll get here:
• Clear explanations of how premium selling actually works
• The checklist I run before every trade
• Honest weekly recaps — wins, losses, and what I'd do differently
What you won't get: guaranteed returns, hype, or mystery screenshots. If I share a position, I'll disclose it.
I sell options on stocks I'd happily own for years. Premium is compensation for a small risk, not free money — this account treats it that way.
Educational only, not financial advice. Let's get to work.
@Kalshi_Finance Anthropic's newest landlord is the former bitcoin miner. 245 MW switched on a month early is worth $1.3B+ in revenue. That's the neocloud thesis in one deal.
Bullish for both parties.
@Kalshi_Finance TSMC already told us the quarter: NT$1.49T revenue, +50%. Thursday is guidance and margins — the part that actually moves the stock. The beat is priced in; the guide isn't. That's the event-vs-structure.
@StockMKTNewz Anthropic did due diligence at $6B and walked; Amazon may pay ~$7B. Same company different buyer. The value isn't the models, it's the chip-portability layer that makes Trainium viable against Nvidia. Deals don't price the company. They price the strategic fit.
75% fear AI - while AI writes their emails and their 401(k) owns the companies building it. Fear is one-sided is a sentiment reading, not a verdict. And lopsided sentiment is usually where the compounding hides.
People fear the unknown. The more they understand it the better they will feel.
Cantor models $333B in Micron free cash flow over the next 8 quarters — and the buyback ban ends in December. Now the debate: buybacks or fabs. Zacks says reinvest during hypergrowth. Fair. But a buyback at 6.8x forward earnings is reinvestment too in your ownership.
They are set to buyback $35 billion after Dec 9th. Could be more coming in 2027.
@unusual_whales $ORCL is on my short list of stocks I’m watching. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Debt is large with interest rates going up but the quarterly reports have looked sound.
The tradeoff framing is honest at least. Every return has an expected loss. Altman assumes "orders of magnitude more good"; the people absorbing the bad things don't get a vote on the ratio. Most of us are along for the ride. Hopefully the good outweighs the bad. And the bad isn’t catastrophic.
@Kalshi@HeroDividend I think this is priced into the market for now. The real question becomes what will they do in December. Would like to see oil prices go down.
Saturday habit: before Monday, I review every open short position.
1. Anything deep ITM expiring this week?
2. Earnings on an underlying next week?
3. Ex-div date before expiry?
Options sellers don't get surprised by Mondays. They prep on Saturdays.
@joecarlsonshow Anthropic said the quiet part plainly: it's about the model itself, a just-in-case welfare bet, not training hygiene. The real cost isn't the philosophy. It's accountability. I think the rebranding of the name doesn’t matter in the end.
@unusual_whales You don't predict tail risk - you price it. Disaster drills aren't a 2027 forecast; they're a gossip tool every year. The real signal is whether the market prices the premium. It doesn't for now.
Morgan Stanley: the AI bottleneck is power, not chips - a 34% US data-center power shortfall through 2028. NVDA/AVGO insulated; memory/optics face delays.
My Micron thesis is built on take-or-pay contracts through 2030. But the chokepoint moved to power, and I'm watching it.
Bullish memory and power for the foreseeable future.
@unusual_whales $70B to $50B is a 30% haircut - to the company's own numbers, between its own investor updates. At a $1.4T valuation that's 28x sales vs 20x. The investment case just repriced on OpenAI's own documents. I’ll probably watch the IPO on the sidelines.
