At AI Engineer Shanghai, Xinghong Fang will share how we've built and scaled a multi-region gateway to keep #LLM workloads available when providers or regions fail.
He'll cover provider failover, protocol translation, observability and the #engineering tradeoffs involved.
If you're attending, join the talk and visit our booth to meet the Optiver team.

If we gave our AI agents the full data catalog, they would drown in it.
Agents need only the slice that matters for the task in front of them: the one table they can trust, what it means, and how they're allowed to use it.
On November 4 at CONTEXT 2026, our Global Head of Data Platform, Christophe Godefroy, will pass the mic to his AI agent and a DataHub agent to explain how we built a context layer for agents in partnership with @DataHubCloud.

@aiDotEngineer NYC brought together engineers working through some of the same questions we're tackling at Optiver: how to make AI useful, reliable and scalable across everyday engineering workflows.
One highlight was Noyan Tokgozoglu's session, "Scaling AI with P&L on the Line". He shared how we're building ways to evaluate new models and make them available quickly, while maintaining the flexibility to choose what works best for our engineering teams.
Here's a look back at our time in New York.
In trading, your model is part of the system it's trying to predict.
Denis Perevalov, Quantitative Researcher, shares what makes ML in trading an interesting research problem. Read more ⤵️ https://t.co/sU26IH3BNE
Financial markets don’t give production systems controlled conditions. A sudden market event can increase the demand on our systems, the urgency and the cost of getting something wrong.
As Michael McAllister, Application Engineer at Optiver, puts it: “The question isn't whether you can solve problems for the people a couple of desks from you. It's whether you can solve it once and make it work across regions.”
We’re at @SREcon this week. Come talk to us about the systems behind live trading. More on technology at Optiver: https://t.co/qc3Lx4EugK
The same share, traded on different European exchanges. How different can the prices be?
That's the subject of our final chart for the @FTAlphaville Art of the Chart show, happening this Thursday, 15 October in London.
In theory, the same share trading on different exchanges should have the same price. In practice, that’s not always the case.
This chart looks at the gaps between official closing prices for some of Europe’s biggest cross-listed stocks. While the differences are typically small, they can be surprisingly large, even for some of the continent’s most liquid names.

We’re heading to #AIEngineer NYC to join engineers building and operating AI in production.
On Tuesday, Noyan Tokgozoglu shares what scaling AI looks like at Optiver, where performance and reliability have real consequences.

Market data is noisy, event-based and constantly changing. Quantitative Researcher Karun Rao explains why it is difficult to model and where deep learning can help. Read the blog ⬇️ https://t.co/2dty6mIXbY
We’re sponsoring the @FTAlphaville Art of the Chart in London on 15 October.
In the run-up, we’re putting together a series of charts for the Alphaville substack on some of the market themes we spend a lot of time thinking about.
This week: #silver.
For one extraordinary week earlier this year, trading in the iShares Silver Trust ETF ($SLV) surged to levels that briefly put it in the same conversation as Nvidia.
The spike was short-lived, but it served as a striking example of how quickly volumes can rise in a market when a big macro story takes hold.

Most AI competitions start with a test set where the answers already exist.
Explaining Markets evaluates agents on earnings announcements as they happen, before we know how the market will react.

This week: Europe’s tech sector.
$ASML’s market cap is now larger than the next 10 biggest EEA-domiciled tech companies combined.
That says a lot about ASML’s extraordinary rise. It also says something about the shape of Europe’s listed tech sector, where a huge amount of value is concentrated in one company.
We’ve been marking Optiver’s 40th at exchanges around the world.
This week, the celebrations reached New York, with our team joining Nasdaq for an opening bell viewing in Times Square. New York is home to a growing part of our business, including our #ETF and #credit trading teams and our #AI Lab.
It was a fitting place to celebrate four decades in markets, and the growth of Optiver along the way.
Thanks to @Nasdaq for having us.
💹 Stock exchanges are changing fast. NYSE is building a tokenized securities platform, Nasdaq got SEC approval to trade some, and London plans 24/7 trading.
Hear from leaders at @Broadridge, @NPM, and @OptiverGlobal tomorrow at the #FMQ2026, joined by @timmassad.

First up: #0DTE.
In the US, zero-day-to-expiry #options have gone from niche to more than 60% of S&P 500 index options volume in roughly a decade. Europe looks tiny by comparison. But there’s an important caveat: it only got started in 2023. So the question may be less “why is Europe so far behind?” and more "how quickly does it grow from here?’”
@TradeTechFX comes to Amsterdam this week, and we’ll be there.
As the conference kicks off, we’ve taken a closer look at a market that still works differently from most others we trade: FX #options.
It remains one of the last major asset classes built around the traditional dealer model. In our latest piece, we explain how our FX options desk approaches the market, bringing listed and OTC trading together under one global team, and where we see the market heading next.

There’s a lot of engineering between writing C++ and running it in production.
Optiver is sponsoring the #CppCon Tooling & Ecosystem Track, covering build graph bottlenecks, compiler parallelization, CUDA profiling, CI performance regression and more.
C++ is a core part of the Optiver production stack. Our engineers work to build systems for live markets, large-scale data platforms, quantitative research and ML. With around 28,000 application instances and 800+ production changes every day, our C++ tooling needs to move fast too.
Find us at Booth 10 to meet the team and learn more about engineering at Optiver.
