Fake insurance still means you are uninsured, and the consequences remain points, fine and potentially seizure of the vehicle.

🚨 Fake insurance. Fake website. Real consequences. 🚨

#SurreyRPU officers stopped this vehicle after checks indicated it wasn't insured.

The driver insisted they had valid insurance and produced a policy at the roadside... except it turned out to be fraudulent.

Not to worry, they had another policy.

Unfortunately, that one didn't stand up either. Logging into the "insurance portal" via a WhatsApp link revealed it was a fake website, and the genuine insurer had no record of the driver's details.

🚔 The outcome?
❌ 6 penalty points
💷 A substantial fine
🚗 Vehicle seized

Always make sure you're buying insurance from a legitimate provider. Fraudulent policies are becoming increasingly common and can leave you uninsured without even realising it.

If a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is.
