La película colombiana "Un poeta" suma más de 1,5 millones de dólares en la taquilla mundial, con más de 270.000$ recaudados solo en Estados Unidos donde la nueva distribuidora 1-2 Special la ha mantenido en salas por más de dos meses.

En EE.UU., el film de Simón Mesa premiado como mejor película en Horizontes Latinos de San Sebastián, estrenó de forma limitada el 30 de enero con solo dos copias. Durante febrero y marzo, la cinta pasó a 25-35 salas, la mayoría de ellas independientes y con pases sueltos, lo que da más mérito a su ingreso general.

En su país de origen, Colombia, #UnPoeta fue un fenómeno que recaudó más de 1M$ y más de 200.000 espectadores.

La película llega a los cines españoles este fin de semana de la mano de @atalantefilms.
