These are not spiritual philosophies, they're extremely surface level statements about the mentality one has when bending. They sound nice more than they describe an actual set of beliefs.

The water tribes have different beliefs. As do different parts of the FN. Even the air temples aren't all the same. Let alone specific people who clearly aren't spiritual.

Spiritualism takes many forms, but there's no link between the specific beliefs you hold and what bending you have. And many benders aren't spiritual at all.

Those are cultures that arise after the fact, and each element has multiple cultures associated with it. And you seem to understand that a thing that isn't a photon can still produce them, yet the idea that Scott's beams can do that is confusing to you.

You can't simply work hard (lots of super skilled and dedicated non benders out there) or be spiritual (Guru Pahtik is a non bender).

You're also ignoring that lasers have to be made of light, not emit it. Otherwise a focused stream of fire would be a laser. Hell, a glow stick is “narrowed down to a beam and emits light”.

Also, it says they're beams of force, which doesn't bring to mind a laser. And the wiki uses the term optic blast to refer to any energy beam that fires from the eyes.
